    Default Excersing after surgery

I'm on Pre-Op diet and have been doing a little excercise. How soon can I excercise after the surgery?

Hi, I was walking 20-30 min starting from day #5 post-surgery and after 2 weeks started doing more cardio. I get full clearance for exercize 3 weeks post-surgery.

Exercise iz a very important aspect of the weight loss. Best of luck to you!

I also started walking 5 days post op. I started a weight loss bootcamp 9 weeks post op and honestly could still feel some pulling at that point but it got better every day. I am in my 5th week of bootcamp and I now feel completely normal...Well not normal actually better than normal. I feel strong and I don't get out of breath nearly as quickly. Good Luck and let your body tell you if you are doing too much. You will know. Tam

I had surgery 2 weeks ago. I started walking only 10 minutes a day for the first week. Now - I don't count the time - I count the laps. I'm up to almost 2 miles and my surgery was 2/8. It feels great... and it is a very important part of the process!

I go for a set walk right now its a mile. I know I need to add more walking to my day because this is no longer challeanging I am not out of breath any longer but I have been having some fatigue since I caught my cold. I do plan to bump up my walking schedule to 2 miles a day esp after this weekend when I move. and will have to find a new place to walk near my new apt.

i was walking in the hospital the night of my operation, taking consideration i had just had an operation it was hard exercise to me. i was running with in a month and a half, at 2 months my knee let me know that i had abused them for year being over weight, lol.

basically it all really depends do what you can as soon as you can dont push yourself to far to fast but stay busy and you will get there
