Default Have you had a colonoscopy LOL

The way I see it, this preop diet is exactly like the day before a colonoscopy. Am I crazy or no? Is there anymore or less you can eat? Cuz OMG, I remember how I was just for that ONE DAY LOL, I can only imagine a week!!!!!!

    Yeah, that's a good time, .... NOT!

Its tough but you can do it. The purpose isn't to clean you out, but to pull some weight off of your liver. To work on your stomach the doctor has to get up under your liver and if its too big and fatty, it makes it hard to handle.

TRUST ME....when I got my lap band 3 years ago I didn't get to be on the pre-op diet as long as I should have been for my weight. We went ahead with the surgery and it took him nearly two extra hours of work to get the band in place because my liver was still too large. But he got it in.

This time -- when I was sleeved on the 10th, I'd been on the diet a little long (and was starting 50 lbs lighter than when I was banded.) and my livery wasn't so big.

Lap-Band removed and revised to Sleeve on 2/10/11
