Hi, Im new.......

Hi, My name is Tammy and I am a married mother of five, I recently re injured my back. I already have 2 fusions, I was told that my new injuries are in-operable and that I need weight loss surgery to get the weight off quickly. I live in the beautiful state of Washington and I am a Retail Manager of 26 years and now have been told I need to find a desk type job. My husband is a retired Army Veteran. I like karaoke, the beach and spending time with my family. I am also a liver cancer survivor. I am the captain of my local Relay For Life team. I am hoping to find information on the Gastric Sleeve, that is what I am scheduled for! Hoping to meet new friends also.

I feel your pain about your back problems. I have had three back surgeries and almost died from staph and strep infection from the last surgery. It has been a long and hard road due to the continuing back problems. Along that road, and being down all the time because of the back problems, the weight has continued going up going down that road. I have my surgery in two days. Feb. 23d!! is the big day. I am hoping and praying that this will open up a new world for me. No, it will not get rid of all the back issues, but I hope that it will help me deal with them a little better and easier. Good luck with everything. I know that God is opening a wonderful door for me..

Welcome!!!! I have had back and neck problems for over 23 yrs. now along with two surgeries. I had a temporary taste of how it felt weighing 97 lbs. less for 2 yrs. on the L.A Weightloss Diet, but of course, 80 lbs. crept back on my poor body!!!! Now I am weighed down with heavy, aching legs and feet and other health problems. They say yo-yo dieting is very fatal. Your back problems won't go away completely, but it will help you to deal with it. Excess weight aggravates your condition. I know I felt a lot better when I had less lbs. burdening me down. I yearn to go back to that. May we all accomplish this together!!!!!
