Shocking Results of Researching Dr. Kelly

I actually just called the numbers this person listed for the hospitals and was informed that Dr. Kelly is no longer working at one of the hospitals because of his personallity and practices the staff did not agree with. I am scheduled with him in 4 days....

Yes, Linda is my cordinater as well and she answers all my questions promptly and kindly-never has bashed any doctor. I feel like this company is a good company, and with any business there will be a few mistakes. I feel safe in their hands and hope that anybody who is interested in their services will not be detoured by this.

Licilu, you say that Dr. Kelly is doing your sleeve in 4 days, but your profile lists Dr. Garcia. WHich one is it? And what specifically did the person who picked up the phone at the hospital have to say? Was that the hospital's phone number or the coordinator's phone number, posing as the hospital? I'm not doubting you, just the originator of this thread. I too am scheduled with Dr. Kelly, and so far I have been very impressed with him. I have a lot of skepticism surrounding the negative things being said, but if there are skeletons in the closet I want to know. I can accept that occasionaly doctors make mistakes. We all make mistakes, we're human. But I want to know. I know that I have never had any previous surgeon of mine scrutinized this thoroughly, and I've had quite a lot of operations and procedures. I have never asked a surgeon, "so how many patients have died on your table?" However, I have asked them how many of the procedures they've done. I do check credentials online and read patient reviews. I have asked about complication rates, after care, etc. Perhaps if coordinators weren't so cut throat, none of this would be such a big deal.

For those that think I am a coordinator and somehow have all these phone numbers that ring to me so I can 'pose' as different hospitals, here are the links to the hospital websites so you can take the direct Mexican phone numbers from their own websites. Perhaps you think I went through the trouble of putting up websites for the hospitals? LOL!

Dr. Kelly has so many great testimonials that no one believes this bull crap for a second at all! Real patients with real testimonies tell the story.....

One death is bound to happen accidentally in a surgeon's career. It is sad, but true.

I am sure Dr. Kelly will still be getting hundreds of happy patients the coming months-years.

The truth is that A Lighter Me are a bunch of idiots! First of they are using Dr. Ramos Kelly's information to get better from it themselves. Since they are not doing bussines anymore since last year November they are losing lot's of money and now trying to destroy Dr. Kelly with all this bs on the forums. Then tell me one thing? If Dr. Ramos Kelly is such a worse surgeon? Then why does A Lighter Me still have his information on their websites? I know why. They are using his name online to get better scorings on the internet with their websites. Dr. Kelly is the best surgeon in Mexico I know and a well respected one. Anyone that has a booked surgery with Dr Kelly should not worry about anything and I wish you all the best.

LICULI... Call Dr. Kelly. He actually chose to no longer work with one hospital due to THEIR issues and the hospital being below his standards and not correcting the issues. I am sure because of this they have their own twist on the situation. I was told by my coordinator at the time it was due to infection in the hospital. Again, your best bet is to call the doctor yourself. After you meet him, you will definitely laugh at all the drama you read on these boards.

I am getting sleeved by Dr. Kelly July 30th, 2013. I have complete trust and confidence that he is one of the best surgeons in TJ.

I think it is important for people to do research. I see a lot of people bashing the OP, yet only ONE person has actually followed through and called the hospitals. Don't call Dr Kelly, because you know what his answer is going to be. Call the hospitals, medical board, whatever you need to do. Then present that as evidence to counter the OP. Don't assume she is wrong just because you so badly want her to be....

I was sleeved with Dr. Kelly and I would do it again 1000 times over---he is a great surgeon and a GREAT MAN! Kind, gentle and knowledgeable.

Dr Kelly is amazing. Only the surgeons that are scheduling 10 surgeries per day must use multiple hospitals. He has privileges at the best hospitals in Tijuana. I'd schedule with him 1,000 times over too. Wonderful surgeon and he is blessed by God to be able to be the surgeon and man he is. He truly cares.

This is a old post but disheartening to read. So far I have been very pleased with a Lighter Me. I am using Janese and Dr Ortiz. Dr Ortiz actually answered my questions in a personal message on Facebook. Janese calls me whenever I need to talk. Hopefully this will remain the case. I can back out and go with another surgeon but I really trust this.

As for Kelly and the patient dying, it happens. My dad was a surgeon and thankfully never lost someone on the table. BUT it did happen to fellow surgeons. They were all very good surgeons and I would feel comfortable with any of them operating on me. Surgery has its risks.
