I am not feeling well. Will my surgeon still perform surgery? I am so scared this may not happen..I have to be at the hospital 6am..please pray I recover by Monday...Thanks

I hear ya girl my surgery is scheduled for Wed the 16th and yesterday i started getting sick with a sore throat and coughing. I'm trying to contain it so i dont get worse. I'm like u I'm afraid they will put of my surgery if im not well. Good luck to u hun

Thinking of you both and praying you feel better soon. I think the concern is about respiratory infections...it's important that you breathe properly before, during, and after the surgery. And if you have a cough, that's going to hurt when you do, so you will want the cough to be gone before the surgery. Take care.

Thank you all....I am stressed out because I do have a cough my surgery is scheduled for Monday, I have been on a liquid diet (optifast) for 3weeks and now on my clear diet prior to surgery...if I have to rescedule it would have to be before the end of the month and as you know the surgeon is probably booked..my insurance changes to a different provider March 1st and I have no clue if they pay for bariatric surgery or their requirements...I have come so so close.....I know in my head that the surgeon has the final call and it is for my best interest but my heart says I want to be sleeved no matter what...in the end it will work out. Thx all

I've got everything crossed that you get over this by Monday. You may want to try airborne and zicam to help speed it up.

I was just sleeved on the 9th and had a cold as well. I just rested complete during those days and drank v8 splash light which has lots of vitamin C and only 15-30 calories per serving. They did not seem that concerned when it came to my surgery date. I would just rest and see what happens.

Thank u all for ur thoughts and prayers. I have a bit of a sore throat and cough but they gave me a little meter to increase my breathing strength and im not congested so hopfully it will be fine. Wish u the best of luck Jersy I know how u feel we worked to hard to get here to let a silly cold ruin it. I have been taking vitamin C and i think i have some airborne im gonna try that too .At leat I have till Wed. And again thank u for ur special prayers .peace,Sherry
