A few tip for traveling to Vegas:
For anyone planning to fly to Vegas I just wanted to let you know there's a shuttle to the Tuscany. When you are at baggage claim look for the door that says ground transportation and not far outside that door you can pick up Show Time Shuttles. The cost is about $8. per person plus a tip for the driver.
Taxi will cost you about $15. but will take you directly to the Tuscany, so if there is 2 or more of you it's worth it.
FYI about Taxi's: To get a taxi in Vegas is a little different than other cities. In Vegas you can not just step off the curb and hail a taxi. Taxi's are not allowed by law to just pull over and pick up passengers. The best way to get a taxi is at the valet of any hotel/casino. There's a lot of different size taxi's and they can legally take up to 5 people in a party so if there's a small group of you traveling together the valet may hail up a mini van taxi.
If you are going off the strip in a taxi ask the driver for his card, they usually will give you there cell number to get call for a ride back otherwise you could wait quite a while. (and as I said before Vegas runs on tips so I recommend tipping them well on the first trip and they'll give you good service.
Limos run about $35. per hour but the advantage is you can stop at the store on the way to the Tuscany and pick up water and other little things you may want to have in your room. I strongly recommend lots of water, it's very dry here.
Speaking of dry ... your hair will be a lot dryer here so bring along conditioner you'll be glad you did.
BTW plan to have a bunch of singles at the ready for tipping ... Vegas runs on tips, you can get pretty much anything in Vegas with the right tip.
Please also remember to tip your casino dealers. Casino dealers are paid minimum wage and live from their tips.
Well that's my first installment of Vegas advise for you, any question just ask.
