Oh, good, somewhere I fit in! I just started gentle walking a couple of weeks ago, and it's helping my back/hip pain, much to my surprise. Only a couple of months ago such things would only exacerbate the pain. But I changed my ticker from 227 to 229 this am and not happy about it. Just as SOON as I decided, okay, this 227 thing seems to be a reliable number, it does that. So. I have surgery in about a month (excited and scared!) and I want to lose 10 more lbs., (I don't have to, I've already met the weight loss goal my surgeon gave me) that way when I lose 50 lbs. it will really put me into the smaller large category, more "normal sized" so I don't have the "Hey, look @ the fat lady!" going on. Hey, whatever gets us through the night, right? Also my doc says the more I can lose the easier it is for him to do his job.
BUT...I have gotten a little sloppy w/ my eating, am back on caffeine cuz when I quit it I went comatose and had a really hard time doing my job. I may just quit cold turkey 3 days before my op cuz then I'll have 1-2 months off. I eat healthy most days then have days when I just don't count everything, not really overdoing it but going from 1000 calories (My goal, my RMR is really slow) to 1500-2000 and we all know that's enough to slow or stop weight loss for a week.
I'd really appreciate some gentle support...I get rebellious if given full on asskicking.
Well I'm in a stall but I was totally expecting it.
I fluctuate between 197 and 199. I'm in my mid month cycle and I stall this time every month. I have been pretty good with food except for a small slice of cheesecake at the Super Bowl party but then I didn't eat all the other crap everyone else was eating.
My swim teaching is the only exercise I get. Last week was slow as I only taught for 1 hour 3 times last week. I start again tomorrow for 2 hours 4 times a week, so hopefully that will help kickstart the weightloss again. Knowing how my body works since the sleeve, I expect my stall to last another week.
Hopefully next weeks' check in will be better. I hope everybody has a great week.
Well, 7 days in and 4.8 lbs down. (this is always my best week of the month).
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.
If you want to know, you might consider getting a basal thermometer. I had a partial hystie (still have my ovaries).. when you can't get a handle on your cycle it can help to chart your first thing AM temp. It's meant for fertility planning but works for this too. When your temp goes up a bit you are ovulating. It stays up for the rest of your cycle (usually 12-14 days) and then drops back when you would have had your period.
I did this for a couple of months until I noted what phase of the moon matched up with my cycle, as mine runs concurrent.. now I can tell where I'm at by just looking up at night If it's half moon waxing, full moon and just after,I'm dropping weight. If it's waning and dark moon, I'm stalled.
Also, it can't hurt to just keep track of moods and weight every day, you will see a pattern.

Grr 208!
My weight, on the other hand...has gone to 228.5, but I'm pretty sure that's cuz I was sick last night (does anyone have a good drug for nausea they recommend?) and lost a lot of fluids. I threw out the stuff that made me sick and found that leaves me with a small amount of food...maybe that will help me w/ my cravings...I was planning on eating some Mexican food on Friday but no more...I just want bland, and I want to be done w/ eating for awhile. That means yogurt this morning and Premier shakes for the rest of the day...too bad I'm too weak for my walk this morning, ugh, just want to stay in bed but work calls...
Hope the rest of this week is good for you, Tara.
