I live about 50 mins East of Cincinnati, (Ripley, Ohio) I am in the process, dealing with the insurance portion of it, using Dr. Trace Curry , Have an Endoscopy scheduled for Oct. 14th, then I should be close to getting a surgery date. So excited, Scared & Optomistic ! Love this site, and all of the Before & After pics people post. Any question I have asked, there are plenty who are willing to tell you their experience, and give you tips etc.. Love It ! We should add an Ohio Sleeve Forum, I saw one of those from other states I think, just don't know how to use this site completely yet.

Hi, I also live in the Cleveland area. Everthing I have read seems positive. Most people describe it as though they have a new lease on life and wish they had done it sooner. I am awaiting approval and a surgery date at a local hospital. God Bless and stay positive!

Hi, My Dr uses Jewish Hospital also, but not for sleeves, I stayed at the clinic in Evendale. How are you doing? Any regrets? I am doing well and am very glad I took this step. Great to hear from you.

Hi, I had surgery with Dr Curry on 9/19. I was very pleased because the surgery went nice and easy, I was up and walking a few hours later. I wasn't thrilled with the overnight space but the nurses were great and since it was only one night, I survived. I've had no complications and things are going well. I think that Dr Curry does a number of surgeries back to back and I didn't feel as if he really remembered who I was, however from what I've seen on this site, all the doctors do this. The rest of his staff and the clinic staff makes up for that. I have no regrets in choosing Dr. Curry and would recommend him to you. I hope this helps.Gabby

I'm from Cleveland and awaiting approval from Cigna for the same surgeon. I attended my seminar in September. How long from your seminar was your surgery date? I really hope to get this performed soon!!!

Hi Plain Sleeve Jane - I wish you the best. I cannot say this this is the best thing I have ever done YET...., but I'm feeling stronger everyday. I went the seminar in May, but then had to attend 3 nutritional counseling sessions before we could submit for insurance approval. Once we submitted for approval, I heard back within 2-3 weeks.

Jenny, I also had my sleeve from Dr Curry. He is awesome. I had mine done in his surgical center. They took/take awesome care of me. I love Erin my nutritionist to death!!! I was self pay so I did not have to deal with the craziness of insurance. I also work out at Fastrack Dr Currys gym. LOVE IT!!! You need anything let me know!!!

To all my Cincinnati Peeps using Dr Curry. If you wanna say hi in person I work out at Dr Currys Gym Fastrack. It across the hallway from the Dr office. I am there 5 days a week usually sometime between 3 and 5.

I loved my care from Dr Curry. Pre op was a breeze and the nurses were amazing to me and my crazy family. Ya my kids brought in donuts into the waiting room. Post op care for me was par none. I am kind of a rebel. I was up and walking a hour after surgery. I mean it was one night trying to sleep with 4 other snoring dudes but hey it was only one night right??? At least I was smart enough to bring my cpap machine. Care since then has been great. I had some issue with restriction at the top of my stomach. I almost had to have a second procedure to get it stretched. But Dr curry had me wait and guess what it was swelling!!! First month for me was very rough. But now???? The skies the limit. Down 108 pounds. Feel awesome. I look amazing!!!! I feel 20 years younger!!! Oh even though I am a old happily married fart I love the attention I get now from the ladies!!!!

Thanks for all the info, its nice to hear feedback on Dr. Curry, so far his Staff seems awesome, and most of us already know you don't get to deal with a Dr. much these days, we rely on Nurses to take 90% care of us, especially a surgeon, so not having him remember who I am doesn't really bother me, but getting good bedside Manner when it counts does, so I am glad the nurses treated you well Still waiting on a date, should have insurance approval within the next 2 weeks ! YAY
