This is the time where i want to eat everything in sight!!!
My husband and i are splitting.... he has not been very faithful throughout our relationship and i worked through it multiple times... and im done... he just lost his job and we have 2 young children... ages 1 and 4. So i need to do whats right for myself and my children and im going to go stay with my mother where i know that there will be a roof over my childrens heads and food on the table.
Its the right decision to make for them.
Im very upset..... im sorry i needed to get it out! and you all have been so great to me so i figured you would be a good support for me through this.

I have never been great at advice. When I found myself in a similar situation I wasn't wanting any advice, either. Because no one really knows what You are going through. Everybody's life is different and I hope you find something or someone that will keep you strong whenever you are feeling weak. =) Congrats on the new beginning.

You did the right thing by getting on here to vent.I beat in the past you just went and ate.I am learning that the sleeve does not fix the emotional eating problem.So I am very proud of you I also recently broke off a 17 yr relationship with a cheater,its amazing what a little boost in your self esteem will do. And I owe it all to my sleeve.Keep your head up and trust me you will be okay.

I'm sorry you're having to go through this. My first husband was unfaithful. I think what hurt the most was the plans for the future I had to bury with the divorce.
Make sure you take good care of yourself. If you cry a lot make sure to add more water to your diet and you may want to plan your meals to make sure you eat well.

It is so hard to give up on the dream you once had with this man, I am sure. But taking charge of our bodies and our health, and being successful at weight loss, often gives us the confidence to take charge of other areas of our lives, where before we may have been stuck in one huge rut. (So you're really NOT that far off topic; one thing leads to another sometimes.) Take good care of yourself and your children, and I believe that you will find a new dream one day, with a man who will cherish and love you the way you are meant to be cherished and loved. It might be this man, your husband; this might be the wakeup call that turns him around. But you deserve peace, you deserve security, and you deserve love...so do your children. If your brain tells you the best place to find that now is back with your mother, then you know what is best for you and the children. You are wise to turn to others for support and to vent. Having an unfaithful spouse is a big blow to your self confidence (speaks with experience). But starting over - by going home until you get your feet on the ground is the right thing to do. It will be hard - mom may want to fix it your favorite foods. Your 4 year old will ask lots of questions you don't really want to answer. But through it all - lean on those who love you. Stay as true to your weightloss as possible - don't forget to take some "me" moments to learn who you are now. A woman who has gone through an unfaithful marriage - and survived it. A woman of 2 beautiful children - that bring their own challenges - yet again a survivor and a survivor of a major WLS. Think about the strength you have gained through the pain. You will become stronger, wiser and most of all.... more beautiful inside and out when you work through all the pain. Good luck. And I will pray for your strength. Karen
