I found it really helped to use crushed ice and a blender, the colder the drink is the easier it goes down. I add instant espresso power to vanilla and a tsp of cocoa powder to the chocolate and that really helps. Use a straw and don't inhale
The muscle milk pre made shakes cost a bit more but have the protein you need and are low in sugar and carbs, and they taste really good. The chocolate, and bannana cream are my favorite. costco sells them in a big case for like $25ish..
