    Default Rough day!

Yesterday I ended up eating something that didn't agree with me. It made me very sick and today I have not got sick but my stomach is still feeling really queasy. The thoughts of anything but popsicles makes me feel sick. Is this normal and is there something I can do to make it go away? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know the feeling and I have found the best thing to do is stick with liquids for the next day or so.

I have had that too. Best thing to do is lighten up. Ihave found I can not eat highly seasoned foods. It gives me reflux badly. Never had reflux before surgery.

    Feel better.......

I guess I'm just not normal. I have not had anything yet that didn't agree with me. I haven't had acid reflux or heartburn, I haven't vomited once since surgery, and I can eat anything I want (so far). I do get that pain/uncomfortable feeling if I eat too fast or perhaps a bite or two too much, but it goes away after 10 minutes or so (or after a couple of burps). After two months of reading all the comments here I wondering if my surgeon left me with a larger sleeve than the rest of you, or if I'm just one of the lucky ones?????????

Hi, Diane -- I think you're just one of the lucky ones. It seems like many of us have had a little more difficulty adjusting. Thank your lucky stars!

Linsey, I think Terry's advice is good. Just go back to liquids for a day and you'll feel better soon.

I'm getting to the point where I'm almost afraid to eat anything new ... so I fall back on protein shakes and yogurt. This morning I tried 1/2 cup of that new Kashi cereal with 9 g of protein in it. It was pretty good, but my stomach is feeling a little bloaty. (I'm 9 weeks out, BTW).

Good luck, fellow Kentuckian. I'm sure you'll feel better soon.

Since my sleeve in November, I have had no reflux. I mostly stick to protein with very little carbs. Raw carrots was a mistake for me. Yuk! I was very uncomfortable for several hours and felt the need to throw up; however, I didn't. If I overeat any, the discomfort is there but only lasts about a half hour. So I guess I am lucky like Diane.
