Since I am new to the forum I thought I would say hello and introduce myself. My name is Sheila, I am 34 yrs old, and I too have had a lifetime of struggling with my weight. I have settled on Dr. Alvarez as my surgeon and I'm thinking of the middle of February for my surgery. I must say I am very excited but also scared at the same time. I have been watching and reading all the threads of this forum for months now and already feel like I know some of you. I am glad to finally be officially here. I look forward to sharing and caring with all of you on this wonderful journey.

Welcome! I am using Dr. Alvarez too, and I'm so excited! I will be about a months after you - my surgery is March 12th. I'm a librarian so I am using spring break to have the surgery. Good luck to you, wishing you a speedy recovery!

@ Texasgirl I will make sure then to update you on my progress etc.... I know I am keeping track of some users here that have had surgery before me and it has really eased my nerves a lot! A big thanks to the rest of you for making me feel so at home!
