New to site!!

Hello everyone I am new here and just wanted to say hi and say alittle about why I am here. I have been looking into getting the gastric sleeve done and am on my way to starting the 24 week program my insurance has you do. I have Kaiser so if anyone else does please let me know how it has gone. I was looking into the lapband but looks like the sleeve might be the way to go. I have been researching alot have have seen alot of people have a rough first few days after getting the sleeve i was wondering what are some of the things that go on, how long till you can eat regular food, how many of you had hair lose, and why the hair lose? im sure i have more questions but i have a wiggly 4 month old on my lap so i need to get going! haha good luck to all and any advise would be great!

Welcome. I am new to this site to around a week old. I have been saving for 2 years to get the lapband but now am going with the sleeve instead. My surgery is Feb 1 and I cant wait. Good luck with your choice.

Good luck on your journey. I've been on that road since Aug 2011. Tuesday I finally met
With my surgeon and set a date for April 4.

I am 10 out from having my sleeve and Yes it is very rough the first few day and it is getting better each day. I will be on full liquids 5 day and then on the pureed for a week and then mush. So, all in all 6 weeks until really food. I am going really slow and being very careful what I put in my new sleeve, just don't want to throw up at this point, still pretty sore. Good luck
