    Default Starvation mode... So frustrated!!!!

I'm just a couple days away from being one month post op... My doctor says I need to get in between 500 and 600 calories per day, but I know I'm getting well under 500. For the life of me I don't know how to get any more in. I can't even eat a whole egg!! I'm worried my body is in starvation mode and thats why I'm not losing as much as I had hoped I would. Does anyone know how to up the calorie count without getting too many fats or carbs in?? I'm excersizing 30 min a day on my treadmill so I know that's not the issue. Someone please help!!!!!

Your starting weight is lower than alot of people on here....lower starting weight means slower weight loss.....Keep your head up. Have you tried eating peanut butter? You can eat a couple tablespoons a day of creamy peanut butter. Cracker go down well without taking up too much space in your tummy but don't go overboard. I eat a serving size of crackers a couple times a week, I love Cheez-Its.

That's a great idea. Do you think it's too soon to try crackers?

Protein shakes can really help if you find ones that you like. I drink the Atkins shakes. Each one is 160 calories, 15g proteins, and 5 g carbs. And the great think is they count towards your liquids to. I drink 3 a day. They are 11oz. so I get in at least 33 oz liquid. 480 cal. 45g proteins. which may not be what is required still, but its better than I was doing.
