I'll have to look on my list at the house but I'm pretty sure its something that's okay in moderation. Some people really can't handle bread again though. I've tried a few bites of some toasted outside pieces of bread and been okay so far.

I feel like wasting your space in your band plus the calories and carbs makes bread not worth it. I eat flat bread or flat outs sometimes. The flat outs only have 100 calories

I think if your stomach can handle it, go ahead. It is easier to toast it first and whole grains are best. I think if you deprive yourself of certain foods that you might be craving, you're more likely to overeat. Counting calories, checking food lists before eating, feeling guilty eating a carb; it's all counter-productive. Be careful of food choices, choose wisely, eat small amounts, and enjoy life; after all, this is about a lifetime of change and I can't picture not eating a slice of brown bread for the rest of my life. Personally, I prefer deli flats and toast them well, put sugar free peanut butter and jelly and have it for breakfast on an infrequent basis. Continued success and enjoy life!

I have discovered New York Style Bagel Crisps with sea salt, they are awesome. I can eat 3 with peatnut butter or light cream cheese on them. They are crispy and taste great. They are very satisfing. There is a booklet you can download and print:

The nutritionist I have said no carbs (bread, pasta, etc...) until you are 75% to your goal.

Some people don't do well with bread. I do ok with it. I limit my bread intake, but I like a half an English Muffin or a slice of toast at times. Best thing if you are eating bread it just to make sure to eat protein along with it. You will just have too how you are able to tolerate it.

I think this is very individual. Some people will eat carbs and become more hungry and want more carbs-there are a number of posts on this forum alone that testify to this and some people also do well with counting calories so they know where they are. If you can do okay w/ carbs, rock on. I can't unless I want to feel hungry all of the time. My particular food plan says well toasted bread is okay after 2 weeks vs. soft bread, which is not, but I'd always make sure to pair it w/ a protein, I haven't tried it yet but have experimented w/ some crackers and soft fruit and I only feel satisfied when I combine them w/ protein dense foods.

I personally wouldn't but I still have problems with bread. It just sits too heavy and it feels like it sticks. I don't have bread very often at all... and besides, since I have my protein first there's just no room in sleevie for any bread!
