    Default Hiking NSV

Hiking through narrow rock passages like this at Mesa Verde National Park made me think that I wouldn't have fit before surgery. Obviously the Ancestral Pueblo people were small. One really long, narrow passageway even had a tarantula on the wall to make it more fun!

All the wonderful things that we can do now that we shed our fat suits. Isn't it grand? I love that I can wear a skirt/dress without wearing spandex underneath. It is such a simple thing that thin people take for granted. Pre sleeve if I did not wear spandex underneath I would get chub rub and sweat like crazy. It was so gross. Also not cringing when I see myself in the mirror. Amazing! But how strong and healthy I feel is priceless! Congrats on your NSV. And totally agree with Ann...your hair is fabulous!

I don't wear a hat like I should, just lots of sun block. I have really thick hair that looks fine in most situations. I still think I'm losing hair, as I often see little short pieces sticking out. (And I still take ALL my vitamins!). But when you have a lot of hair it doesn't matter.

So happy for us in reaching so many amazing goals and for finding ways to be active. Fitting in tight places with ease is amazing and sometimes I want to cry with joy. Great pic.

Gigi, I highly recommend you trying this, its so much fun and amazing exercise. If you like it and have times you cant go with your husband you can go on meetup on the internet and find hiking groups that hopefully would be a fit. They have been so much fun for me. One is all women and three are coed. let us know how it goes.01F55D4C-A747-4496-BD2F-382353FCA609.jpeg

Tamera, I think we are soul mates. If we lived near each other we could hike all the time!

Told my hubby we should move to your town so I could join your hiking group and he said "And how far do you want to live from your kids and grandkids?!?" They are in Texas and Mississippi.

My area is perfect!! We are surrounded by mountains for hiking, Skiing and snow shoeing ext. We have great fishing too. We are minutes from boating in the Columbia river. There are many other rivers and lakes to explore too plus we have the ocean just an hour and a half away. We are close to the airport too. Vancouver is one of the more reasonable places to live in Washington and Oregon. We are no income tax,Taxes are cheaper than Seattle and Portland. Portland has no sales tax so we go across river to buy bigger purchases.
But not close to your Grandchildren and your adult children : ( PS You would love all my hiking groups. I have learned so much from them. Hoping to go to climbing school in the spring through the Mazamas, one of my groups I hike with and take up backpacking in the spring. So cool that we both found our passion in Hiking.

We are so fortunate to have husbands that are so supportive of our hiking. My hubby is enjoying all the benefits from it.

I would've probably run screaming as soon as I saw the tarantula and not stopped until I reached England! I honestly don't know how you walked past that, I would've had a meltdown like a little kid!
