    Cool Traveling after WLS

So my trip to the Netherlands was AMAZING! Traveling half my size was so much easier...nice to be able to sit comfortably, no seat belt extender and really had no issues with jet lag, even. Not sure if that last part is due to the healthier me, but I'll take it!

I keep trying to post these pics as my new "before/afters" but the site is giving me trouble and will not upload them. So I decided to put them here....

WOW is right! You look amazing!

My first extended motorcycle trip felt so much like that, especially since I thought I’d never be able to ride again.

This is so inspiring! One of the most humiliating things I have to do is asking for a lap belt extender when I travel. I got so tired of asking for them when I traveled a lot that I just took one from the plane so I did not have to keep asking for one every time.

I have traveled to some wonderful places and not had the energy to see all the things I want to see. My surgery will be on June 28th. The week before I am going to Key Largo. I love snorkeling, but I am afraid I will not be able to climb up the ladder to get back up onto the boat. I want these kinds of problems to disappear along with the extra weight!

I wish you continued success and happiness on your journey!

    Jen

Thank you, Jen! Glad I could inspire you. Best to you on your journey....and no snorkeling 1 week postop; you put yourself at a risk for infection on your incisions. (Can't help myself, I work for an OR.) There will be plenty of time for that once you heal and are tiny!

Snorkeling is the week before surgery- so no worries.

    Thanks for the response.
