Default Risk of stretching the sleeve ?? advise please :-)

    Hey all

I am so paranoid at the minute that i will stretch my sleeve, although when i try to rationalise i am not eating/drinking anything that i think would/could stretch it ??

I have 3 small meals per day and then occasional snacks, fruit, crisps or nuts (not to excess)

I try to throw my food away once i am full, but occasionally i will pick after a few minutes.

What can, or how does the sleeve stretch ??

    Thanks in advance

    Sam

Honestly I am on the fence about it stretching. I can tell you that yes, I can eat more now than I could at 3 months out, but it's only 3 oz of a protein like chicken breast. Yes, I can eat more soft foods like a whole banana now but think about how much it mashes down. I think that at about 6-9 months you stomach simply becomes un swollen. Have you tried the cottage cheese test? I can't stand cottage cheese but thought about trying it.

    Hey Joelle

No i havnt heard of the cottage cheese test, although i am going to try it and will let you know !!

Do you snack between meals ? I seem to like something before bed and this is always savoury, i may have a hand full of nuts (unsalted) or a small amount of crisps; think this is probably more comfort than craving to be honest !!

    You are looking great xxxx

Extremely unlikely, if not impossible to stretch your sleeve at this stage.

I usually have 1-2 snacks per day. I'm feeling hungry a lot lately. My Caloric intake is well under 900 even with my snacks so I think I'm doing Ok But I too worry about stretching! I don't ever want to go back to the fat me. LOL

Thank you! I have never felt better. Best decision I've ever made besides marrying my husband and my career choice! I remind myself all the time that I did this to better my life. That this is not a sprint but a marathon! That I didn't get fat overnight and I'm not gonna get skinny overnight!

Here is what I told my surgeon....Please give me back the stomach that God had intended for me in the first place and I promise I won't screw it up again!

    Hugs to you!

"Here is what I told my surgeon....Please give me back the stomach that God had intended for me in the first place and I promise I won't screw it up again! " - Wannabehealthy - that is great !! love it !!

Monica, i worry all the time too !! I have come so far now and the thought of going backwards is awful - even though i am right on track its the thought of it all going pear shaped (literally) !!!!

My dietician has told me not to calorie count, but maybe i should start to put my mind at rest ??
