Compression garments

I was just wondering if anyone has used compression Garments or any body shapers during their weight loss to help combat loose skin. If so did it work?

Nope. Didn't use them. Made no sense to me how they would work.

I have a friend who was sleeved and she SWEARS its working during her journey. But I am not sure if its the compression garment or just her genetics.

how old is your friend? i was thinking the same thing though, but about a month or so out so as not to interfere with healing.

she is 40. She didn't start wearing it until about 3 weeks after her surgery. She says she waited until her incision were about healed before she began to wear it.

Shoot, well tell her to tell us the brand, sounds good to me..whatever works. Surgery in Monday for me.

My doctor was totally against it but if it is working can we get the brand?

I'm using them now, but it's post tummy tuck. Never thought about it before. Did you ask your surgeon?

No not yet. I am still stuck deciding between 2 surgeons. This was a topic that came up during one of me and my friend's discussions. I thought it was an interesting premise so I thought I would check with all you wonderful folks on the forum to see if anyone else has tried it and if it worked. She is about 7 months post op. She looks great and swears that the shaper helped her body tone and avoid saggy skin...but again I think its just her genetics. I know that right now the latest fad is waist training with extremely tight shaper's and corsets. She sent me a picture of the first one she was using you can see it attached (hopefully it will show). She said that she used this one for about 2 months all day everyday.
