Default Protein ..what is your routine?

How do you keep your protein up all day what do you eat. I find that I am struggling to keep my protein up on I'm lucky if I get more than 25 grams in me a day. I know that's not good and I really need to change this. Just thought I'd ask and see what other people do to get more protein in. Thanks for your input

I have yoghurt with proteďn muesli for breakfast (9 grams), then my coffeshake with protein powder, condensed milk and soymilk (28 grams),lunch: usually rye bread with cheese (15 grams), midday snack: protein bar (20 grams), dinner: tuna or salmon or veggie "meat" with vegetable or legumes ( 10 grams), and my evening snack is usually nuts (8 grams).
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

You should be having it first at every meal or snack. I don't know when you had surgery, if it was recently you may have to do it with the shakes or other protein supplements.

My surgery was over 4 years ago and I think I've had 2 eggs every morning since then (unless hubby makes a fancy frittata or something). Lunch is typically dinner leftovers or tuna, low fat string cheese, homemake soups, low fat greek yogurt, and/or nuts. Dinner is always our "rule of two," a protein and veggie. Fish is my favorite.

Other snacks are fruit, veggies or the 97% ff popcorn mini-packs. And I still have one protein shake a day. First it's coffee creamer, what's left is a snack.

Start my day with a 20 oz café latte made with Fa!rlife milk (13 g protein per cup). Then I eat solid protein and veggies for each meal. No issues maintaining my protein intake.

The Dietician @ the Dr. office told me to add some protein powder to my drinks/juices (when I use my juicer). I think this is my issue because according to her that is why I am getting hungry in between meals.

Every bite I put into my mouth has protein, carbs, and fat. I cut out all veggies. I take supplements for that so I can save valuable sleeve space for protein.

Five years out and still at goal weight. Lots of info on my profile page. Bottom line, if it doesn't contain a mule's kick portion of protein, I don't eat it. That includes protein bars, shakes and mixes. Those things are a waste of time for someone on maintenance, and barely worth it for those still losing. Again, lots of info on protein isolates and the body's inability to metabolize them fully on my profile page.

The only concession I make for all of this is margaritas. I love me some margaritas.

I will also eat sweets when I want them. Usually fruit, but, if I am craving a candy bar or ice cream, I do not deny myself these things.

During the work week (M-F) I have 2 protein shakes, breakfast and lunch, which amounts to 60 grams, and then I have a "sensible" dinner, protein, veggies, very few or no carbs. I give myself a little leeway on the weekend...eggs for breakfast, etc.

I was struggling with this at 3 months out -- and sraebaer put me on to Premier Protein Shake (vanilla) as an add to coffee or tea. Tastes like a latte. Then I can have it before breakfast and since 11 oz is 30 g of protein, coffee throughout the day, or putting it on oatmeal is awesomely easy to add some numbers.

One thing I do is make my oatmeal w/Almond Milk & when I do scrambled eggs/omelet I do almond milk and not whole milk and I don't add cheese to my eggs. I don't care for milk but this is one way to help w/protein

Besides eggs in the morning and a meat/seafood during meals, I add a protein drink. I got tired of the milky ones (chocolate or vanilla flavors). GNC was a very good watermelon powder and Amazon has a variety as well.
