    Default Instapot anyone??

So I kept seeing people post about the Instapot. I really had no idea what it was so naturally I took to google. I am very intrigued by what I have read. I think I am going to do a little more research and buy one. You can cook things quicker and healthier. Sounds good to me. Do any of you have one? If so, do you like it? I read it is something that takes time to learn to use but once you the hang of it you'll love it!!

Christie... I had something like this once and everything that came out of it tasted like chicken!!
Kidding, kind of! I think its great for stews and that kind of thing, you know, the one pot kind of stuff. Less washing up etc. Do you live in a cold place where stews and soups are a thing? Also if youve got a family to cook for its dead handy. They are quick and the meat is very tender if you like that kind of thing. to be honest ive tried to stop buying gadgets because im like "look at this, this is amazing, its gonna change my life" then you know LOL!!!!

I like using an insta-pot. It does hard boiled egg so quickly! I use the skinny taste website / facebook page for a lot of recipes. Skinnytaste.com

So now I'm intrigued. How does the Insta-Pot work? I have an air fryer that I use a lot, especially for chops and steaks. This appliance works with hot air. Is the Insta-Pot more like a pressure cooker?

Yes it is like a pressure cooker. My sister got one and loves it. I like the delayed cook timer and that you can do so many things in it.

Was it a pressure cooker or slow cooker? This one you can do all sorts of stuff in it, not just stews and soups.

Hi Christie! I have the instant pot. I love it. The chicken and lentil soup from the skinny taste website is my absolutely favorite meal in the world! I actually make it for people all the time when I want to drop off a meal to someone. We've also made pulled pork, a few chicken dishes, and most recently spaghetti squash.

It's an electric pressure cooker. It can also be used as a slow cooker. Something to keep in mind, if a recipe say 30 minutes, that's 30 minutes at pressure. It may take 30 minutes to get up to pressure and another 30 to come down, making it 1.5 hours, but it's also not something you have to watch. You turn it on and walk away.

I do love it. I've barely scractched the surface on using it.

LOL. I absolutely love gadgets. I'm pretty sure I am going to get one. God knows I am a glutton for punishment.

Yeah I probably shouldn't either but I hear that it can be really helpful...more so than a slow cooker. It also has a delayed start option and all sorts of cool features depending on the model you get. As a busy person, I think it is going to be a blessing.
