i am still jumping through hoops where insurance will pay for all of it, then once you do the stuff for the ins co. the doctor wants his own test and blood work, insurance will pay for all of that...

i see this is a old post but i will answer anyway. the Sleeve will slow it down, but the full bypass will stop diabiaties right off the bat.

i weigh 400 lbs. so 20 mins each way is a whole lot for me to walk.

Somone who had the sleeve for a while told me she can eat about a 1/3 of a cup for each meal. I think I will start to measure everything.
