Put pressure on your stomach by pressing a throw pillow against the area whenever you move. it will cause the muscles not ti engage so much and keep the area from moving around to much.
Aaron, every practice handles the stages differently. Some are more aggressive than others. The practice i went through was fairly conservative post-op but liberally handled the pre-op diet. We were...
I used against my stomach whenever i moved positions from sitting to standing, laying down to sitting, etc. It makes the incisions hurt much less.
In the practice i was went through. Week one is only fluids. Let the swelling subside and your interior incision line heal.
What everyone else said. the only protein you should be getting is from broth. Week one is all fluids.
The 10#s should be all IV fluids and the itching is generally signalling the wound healing.

Nine weeks post op, you need to be getting more calories/protein. My thinking is your stall is because your body is starving now and hanging onto every little thing it can to survive.
You should spend no more than thirty minutes on food and shake intake. If you don't finish, save it for later. Start fluids back at thirty minutes from last bite. Once your swelling goes down, your...
Crazy that 2 #'s make the difference between covered and not. Let the docs push from their side based on their findings.
Completely normal. Think, what have you possibly eaten that needs to be excreted? Nothing.
Wow, super progress. I think you settled into a nice spot.
Look at recipes for homemade protein balls. They are a much better option and you can make them to your taste. I do a batch once every two weeks or so.

We are doing our potluck next week. I will mention your groups activities as a suggestion for next year, That sounds so beneficial to everyone.
My thinking is the week 3 stall, which is not a real stall but just your body reconfiguring. Everytime my weight loss paused it was because my body was in starvation mode. Increase your protein...

Depending on how fast you drink the whole drink, you could be wasting money.
Welcome Roger. I enjoyed the hoops. I learned so much in the program I was in getting to my surgery date. If you use the time, you learn the tools to make this a success.
Welcome Chuck. I hope you find what you are needing.
I had laminectomy on L5-S1 17 years ago and watched my weight rise over the time post-op. I am now back down to the weight I was pre-injury plus another 10 years. My back feels better than it has in...
