Well, it's been 5 years, started at 360 lbs, got down to 300, had the surgery and now am at 165. I feel good, only negative is thinning hair. I still wear size large shirts, but size 32" pant...
Well, its been 3 years and 11 months since I was in Nashville getting out of the hospital from the sleeve surgery.
Lots of stuff around here about the few months after, my experience was...
From a guys perspective, or at least mine, what's the big deal about you having the surgery? If we were on a date and you ate very little I would ask, not being nosy but if the food sucked I would...
I had the surgery nearing 3 years ago, in Nashville TN. My thoughts were, and are, that is is a life changing surgery, treat it as such. I was self pay and paid $18,500, and I think I got my...
Nashville has a great team, but kind of expensive. I was self pay, and Nashville was about $2000 more than local doctors, but I felt like it was worth it. I went to Dr Houston, several in town told...
Something that does not get talked about enough, or at least to me seems like it does not. I really did not hear much of this conversation pre-op.
A clinical definition of trauma is "too much,...
Hey Ann - Good to see you again, love ya! Hope life is every bit as wonderful as you deserve!!!
Been a while since I posted here, but when I got the email of updates, and saw yours, I decided to chime in and hopefully share something that has gone well for me.
I am a couple years post op,...
Your fine. Look up a post "tape your butt", follow instructions and it will make life much less stressful
It's a trade off, give up big meals and joint and back pain, diabetes, being fat, etc, or not.
I'm 21 months post op, I eat ANTLYTHING I want, just not EVERYTHING I want.
I'm happy, glad I had...
Yep, I remember 30 years old, fat, and healthy as a horse. I also remember 45 years old and pre diabetic. I wish I had the surgery at 30 instead of 47.
Bump, because everyone needs encouragement!
1 lb weight gain?
Get serious, this is likely water weight.
Look up a thread called "TAPE YOUR BUTT", and follow instruction. It will make you feel better along the journey. Or don't, and...
I find most of the comments I get are genuine, people see us loose a ton of weight and are concerned. I find it a sign of the amount of people who truly care about me. I am grateful for that. I...
Look up a thread called "tape your butt", you need more than one measurement of success
I have a little excess skin, not a lot. Everyone is different, just roll with it.
I had practically no pain, don't over think it.
Fish is good, broccoli has to much fiber for someone at this stage.
Ranger - Look at it from this prospective.... tens of thousands of people have had this done. Its not THAT big of a transition, but its a transition. Your transition will go about like everyone...
Do what Anne says. She ROCKS!
You will be fine. Your body won't let you eat much after surgery. Your journey will be about like everyone else.
I noticed you are in KY, I am in Paducah. I had surgery 15 months ago in Nashville. No sickness what so ever other than minor allergy related stuff. I believe this to be much less invasive than...
I suggest listening to Ann, she ROCKS!
Congratulations, I had mine done on 12/22/2015...

I like smoked salmon, pimiento cheese (all natural), lots of bean type dishes, chilli, all the chicken, turkey, lean deer, elk, been you want. All the lean fish you like.
I like chicken in a can,...
