I have met a couple of people here but looking for more friends nearby.
I'm a little past the 6 week post-op and everything is great! I have no issues at all. I have stuffed myself twice on accident but, that was because I didn't measure properly. I am happy to have had...
I will be getting my surgery less than 48 hours from now on Wednesday morning. I am fortunate to have found a friend who is having hers on the same day, place, and doctor so we will have lots to talk...
I too have heard that you should increase your protein and calories a bit, especially if you are working that hard. Your body needs fuel to burn energy and if there is not enough energy to burn it...
I'm excited, nervous and scared all at once... I know this is the solution for me... I have been carrying this weight around for far too long and it's hurting me more than ever... No more yo-yo...
ON PRE_OP DIET NOW........I'm doing two shakes a day of 22 grams of protein each and 4 ounces of lean protein with dark green veggies for dinner. I can also have SF jello and FF broth as well. By...
That is awesome! Good for you. That is where I want to be as a size 12 or 10.
Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery towards your new journey of your life...
I don't eat fast but, I do chug water and take big bites. I hope I can resolve this before my surgery. I am working on it when I think about it. I heard to use a baby spoon for smaller bites and put...
I thank you all for your replies. I really appreciate your time in responding to my pathetic post. I have books about the sleeve surgery from Duc Vuong and a book called Emotional First Aid Kit for...
I am desperately reaching outright now at this very moment. I know these forums are to be a support system but, this is all I really have and it is not helping me as much as I need it too. My...
Very good! This has helped me realize that some of my depression may possibly resolve after the surgery. I'm not holding my breath but, this tool will be a life saver for me and get me back to being...
I will be happy when I no longer have any kankles...
You have to be careful with your incisions, they must be closed up enough before you can swim. Check with your doctor on that. Very important as you can get an infection in your incisions.
Mine took about 2 weeks, not very long with BCBS.
My doctor has me doing 2 protein shakes a day and a meal of 4oz baked, broiled, or steamed protein and some green vegetables. I don't know how I would fair with the two weeks on nothing but liquids...
Welcome aboard Tenadaley,
You have found a great place to get answers to your questions about the gastric sleeve. I am in my pre-op stage myself with my pre-op diet starting on September 11th and...
I agree with dribblerone. Also you have to think of all the bad stuff your feeding your body. Now it's time to feed it healthy foods and when hunger persists eat some sf jello and drink lots of...
Awesome! Keep up with the great positive attitude and you will do just fine.
It is sad how food dictates my life. Whether I am happy, sad, mad, or angry I always resort to food. People who have real high metabolisms don’t seem to understand why I’m so fat. I eat as much as...
Let's get together and discuss about our sleeve experience for pre and post-op people.
Hello,
I heard the gas part is relieved by gas-x strips. They seem to be working well for others. Give it about 5 days and it should start to subside, that's what my doctor said to be aware of.
Hello all
I am new to this forum and look forward to sharing my gastric story and ideas as well as obtaining ideas.
My surgery date is for the 25th of September at the Palms of Pasadena in...
