Re: How do you Record intake

I'm a year and a half out. I use my fitness pal. Even though I'm on maintenance it's like a video game now. I've got a streak going and I don't want to stop. ;)
  2. Re: Today is my 2 year anniversary. Life is SO DIFFERENT!

I could say "ditto" to most everything you wrote. It's the best thing and I appreciate many of the same things... Stuff like tall boots and crossing my legs. Airplane seats seem so much bigger too. ...
  3. I didn't disappear -- well part of me did but I'm still around....

I just realized that I haven't visited in many months, since late summer. I was at a black tie function, in a size 2 dress, and while I still don't get the reality of my size... I had someone say "I...

Re: Veterans...#1 thing you miss / don't miss

I don't miss a thing. I love everything about how I feel, how I eat and how I move now.

The only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I feel like I have control over food and over my life.

Re: 2 years out - struggling eating enough food

I lift heavy 3x a week, run 4 days a week, and do yoga a few times too. I'm now able to maintain at around 1300 calories, give or take. I still record food in my fitness pal, even though I've been on...

    Re: Bodybuilding and the Sleeve---

I'm a woman. I started lifting a few months after my surgery in July 2014. I've kept it up and noticed changes. But once I was able to up my calories on maintenance -- about 1200-1300 calories most...

    Re: Sizes are so frustrating!

Maybe try shopping at a resale shop so you can try different brands and figure out what works. Then once you find brands you like and know the fit, shop at the store that carries them.

  10. Re: 11 months today... TINMAN's advice is starting to make sense now.

I am 13 months out now. I am 121 pounds as of today. I still log what I eat - I actually enjoy doing it in MFP and I still always do protein first. I can eat and eat if it's something like candy...

  12. Re: OMG all the whinnng about not losing enough weight fast enough is getting old

I just hit a year yesterday -- and got to my goal a few months back. I was definitely was a slow loser, but so what... A year in and I'm the smallest I've been since I was in my teens, and now I'm in...
  13. Re: Best decision ever -- Celebrate my one year anniversary with me!

Thanks everyone. I am totally available to answer questions. While I ate low carb, and still do not eat many carbs, and can attest to how it worked for me -- my main area of "strength" is in the...

    Great advice and thoughts.

Re: "Do you want an extra small or a small?"

How exciting! Embrace it. I went from a 14/16/XL/1x to a size 2/4/6/XS/S(depending on brand). It's just crazy. I'll go in stores and the sales people hold up clothes and are like "you're tiny. This...
  17. Re: MAINTENANCE: Old lady does "Body Pump" workout class and doesn't die

Weight lifting, yoga, biking, and whatever else comes up. My main exercise are lifting and yoga though.
  18. Re: Dining out with other couples --- long term -- finance question.

And Ann - it's going great. I have learned how to eat out easily, and when super active, how to fit in treats like ice cream without it negatively impacting me. I also record every bite, as best I...
  19. Re: Dining out with other couples --- long term -- finance question.

I am not worried about the server refusing it, but more so about looking like a cheapskate. I don't want to come off as rude or cheap, but I easily could have a meal/drink bill that is 1/4 anyone...

  21. Dining out with other couples --- long term -- finance question.

I'm nearly a year out. I dine out quite a bit. I'll either share with my husband or kids, order an appetizer or plan to take some home. I don't drink anymore (just water or tea) and I am basically a...

Just read this. Boring for many, but interesting read for me. Of course after 9 months with a trainer, I am doing what you did just post surgery. But as a woman, I'm still quite happy with a 145lb...

    Re: Working Out

Congrats on getting with a trainer. I had my surgery 11 months ago started with a trainer 9 months ago. And reached my goal, similarly to yours a few months ago.

    I never thought I'd be a size...
  25. Re: MAINTENANCE - Challenges / Questions as We Transition from Losing to Holding Steady

    Fantastic thread Ann.

    1. How long did it take you to stop losing weight? About 9 months out. Since then it's been relatively steady. But with a light variance.

    2. How were you able to stop...
