Good luck!
I will say that your tastebuds may change a little post-surgery. I could not handle anything overly sweet. Even Propel sports drinks were too sweet for me in the first few months. So...
My surgeon did not require a pre-surgery diet. I was just no food or drinks after midnight the night before the surgery.
I know you can purchase Premier and Isopure from Amazon. I prefer Premier, but am trying out Isopure since the Premier are pretty thick.
That is wonderful! Congrats on your continued success!
I'm down in Galveston and was sleeved a little over a year ago. Yogurt and cottage cheese are saviors in the beginning. I got tired of sweet, so I would season my cottage cheese with savory spices....
Welcome! Definitely use this forum as a sounding board for all the weird questions you may not want to ask your doctor at first.
It's hard, but you basically have to take a sip of water every few minutes. My doctor didn't focus on protein the first week, just liquid. I was also drinking Vitamin Water Zero because it had a good...
My goal is to go to the gym at least 3 days a week. I took most of December off because of sickness, work, and the Holidays. It's not a resolution, but I have a goal to be able to buy cowboy boots...
That's amazing Christie! You definitely rock!
I had loss from about month 4 to month 8-9. It has definitely slowed and I see some growing back in. You can also take Collagen along with Biotin. Also, be gentle on your hair. I try not to dry it or...
I like the Shaken Strawberry Green Tea Infusion without the sweetener. You get a few extra calories, but not much.
Mine can be burping or sometimes it's just feeling the fullness in my stomach.
I have excess skin, but I've lost over 100 lbs. I'm working out now (kickboxing) to help with toning. You can also take a Collagen supplement, but do your research as there's a lot of bad products on...
I still get nausea every now and then and I'm over a year out. Sometimes it's from the weirdest things. This summer, a sip of unsweet tea had to come back up. That was probably the weirdest. Also,...
Naps were critical in the first week. I think I was even taking a quick morning nap and then a longer afternoon nap. Also, I was drinking Vitamin Water Zero to help get in more vitamins.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! My plan is to focus on the turkey and ham, but still have a bite of the other good stuff!
Good luck today! Sending good vibes your way!
I had to crush my medication for the first week or so. But I got approval from the doc to crush that one. I would check with our PCP or whoever prescribed the medications.
That is scary! But I'm glad you're getting better.
Welcome! You will find a lot of support and success stories here.
Congrats Glenn! You have done amazing. You'll have to post the pictures when you're able to fit in your dress uniform again. I'm positive you'll get there :)
Congrats on all your success! You have taken your tool and used it to the max!
I have not experienced these things, but I would definitely discuss with a surgeon and a gastroenterologist.
Welcome! There is a lot of support on this board. Even if you think your question is crazy, it's probably been asked before. So don't be afraid to ask if something is "normal" or "weird." Good luck...
