I have no idea what "normal"' is, but I did not reach 1000 calories until I was about 1 year out.
I am now more than 2,5 years out and 1200 calories is my "normal".

Can you give us an example...

Re: How do I get the liquids down

This is going to be trial and error.
Try ice cold, cold, luke warm or warm.
Maybe one goes down easier than another.

Water in itself is very hard to swallow after surgery.
    This has something to...

    Re: Got the date!

    Exciting!
It is totally normal to feel nervous.
    As for tips:
Take a little pillow with you, to tuck between your stomach and the seat belt of the car on your way back home.
    Ask the surgeon to...

    LOL!
Buying a tent does not make you a camper, but using it does.
Smart thinking, those hotel prices are no fun.
    Have a great week!

btw: we are almost at the Barentsz Sea, just a couple more...

Re: 3 1/2 weeks VSG issue

Don't worry, you can't stretch you stomach in 3,5 weeks.
What you may notice is an increase in the amount of food you can eat, but that is due to fact that your sleeve swelling diminishes.
    But I...

Re: Newbie Looking for a VSL friends...

I don't know about surgery in Mexico.
But I do know that a balloon is a waste of money.
It has to come out after six months and you will regain the lost weight in probably less than that.

    But...

  19. Re: SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT LIFE AT ALMOST 2 YEARS OUT (11 mo & 20 DAYS)

    I still can't eat eggs.
I tried to eat a cheese omelet yesterday and it wanted to climb right out again.
I think I'm giving up on eggs.
