It should also be noted what you are eating and what is meant by snacking. I have the same 3 and 2 plan that most others do but if my "snacks" were cookies, M&M's, Jelly beans, cake, chips, nachos,...
I recently met a colleague at a conference and he was amazed by my transformation he had seen me before my sleeve and 3 months out, I'm 9 months out now. and I've come to the realization, in looking...
When lying in my hospital bed in recovery and in pain and discomfort, this was my first surgery, I asked WTF did I do to myself then I realized that I did this for my health and my family and...
I'd say for you that it's such a habit that you won't have any trouble. Start early and constantly sip sip sip and you'll be well hydrated.
First of all I've said it before and I'll say it again. STALLS SUCK!!!
Second, take a deep breath and relax. You knew from reading others journeys that the 3-4 week stall happens, it sucks but...
I was getting out of soft food by week 4 but that may just be what your Dr. has regimented for you so I will advise to follow their advice. But, I can tell you that it gets better once you return...
I love my FitBit. I also got the Aria scale to track my weight everyday.
Welcome to site. Though as you were a lurker you likely know the site quite well. I was a lurker for a while and didn't post until I had made an appointment with my doctor.
Good luck on your...
I was worried about it too. I've lost nearly 90lbs and haven't had any so far. You're right exercise works but so does age, skin condition and genetics.
I've also been using toning lotions which...
My only regret of getting sleeved was that I didn't do it years ago.
Thanks for checking in. Looking good.
Thanks everyone for the kind words or encouragement and advice. Keeping the focus. Here are a couple of pics for you1325713258
I'm not nearly as far along as you but my suggestion would be to get back to basics with your sleeve, think 1 month out from surgery. Focus on getting all your meals, breakfast too, focus on getting...
Getting to know your sleeve is a process. You are learning healthy eating habits now. The sleeve is only a tool as good as you work it. Many people, myself included, found keeping a food diary...
Hello All,
It's been a while since I've posted here. Today marks 7 months in and I'm down 87lbs and only 40lbs from my target.
It hasn't been an easy road though. At the end of May I had a...
I've found every doctor has their own diet and for the most part they are the same. At your stage the focus should be on getting your protein and water.
you can read studies that show anywhere from below 1% to 2% mortality. The other question to ask is the number of complications or those requiring follow up surgeries. My doctor had no deaths and...
I'm 4 and a half months out and have dropped over 80lbs so far, still not sure where my eventual weight will (or should) be. I wish I had done this 10 years ago. I would be interested to know your...
I love all fruits. Strawberries, apples, grapes, cherries, blueberries, mangoes, plums, pears, and watermelon Yum Yum Yum....
The first thing I did when I realized i lost it was look to order a new one. I live in Seoul Korea and they dont sell them here but I have my ways. I should get it soon.
Wowza...loooking good. Congrats!!!
I did mine just before xmas so I had my family xmas dinner 4 days before my surgery. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you stick to the clear liquid diet before your surgery.
I was lucky to have done mine over xmas when I had a little over 2 weeks off. I was glad to have had the extra time to recuperate etc...but I probably could have gone back after a week if I had to....
Generally at your stage you want to focus on protein and water intake. But, if you're not feeling well you should visit your doctor or a nutritionist. Good luck
