You have to be on an antibiotic to get C diff - I had awful diarrhea/runs for a week post op and it eventually just stopped. I agree that you should talk with your doc if it doesn't go away soon :)
Try taking Zantac when you get heartburn because it kicks in 30 minutes after taking it and Prilosec isn't meant for immediate relief - I stopped taking daily Prilosec and now only take a Zantac on...
I'm 8 months post op now and my hair loss has pretty much stopped :) I lost a ton of hair between months 3 and 7 but it is definitely all growing back -- so even if it does fall out it will return!!!
If you have it on your phone you can click on "more" on the bottom of the screen next to "friends" and it will let you set a net calorie goal - I have mine set at 1,000 as my max a day since I'm 8...
I took my birth control the morning of surgery and started taking it again 2 days post op - I did end up with a small blood clot and infection in my vein they had my IV in but they said it was due to...
You will be able to eat ALL of those foods eventually! I've eaten every one you have listed at least once :) its all about moderation when you are back to normal foods. Stick with your post-op...
Mine started 3 months post op and it was horrible! I'm almost 8 months post op and it has slowed WAY down... I'd say about month 6.5 is when it stopped falling out drastically. My Dr said that...
Lol oh goodness now I feel like a moron! In that case good luck with your surgery and like everyone said walk, walk, walk!
Are you positive you want the band?? There are lots of us on this forum who had the band revised into the gastric sleeve because the band has so many issues... I went through Almanza and had no...
I took all of my pills 2 days post op. If they were larger pills I cut them in half and they all went down just fine :)
I got a band to sleeve revision - not because I didn't lose any weight with it but I was so sick of living with the hell every day that comes with being banded! No more WLS for me now!
I had the Lap Band surgery back in 2006 when I was 19 and did decent with it in the beginning... That is until I got my first fill and then I started vomiting all the time, everything would get...
For me Vitamin Water Zero was great - it has electrolytes and will do a great job of hydrating you! And it comes in lots of yummy flavors :)
My hair loss started around month 4 and it's starting to subside now that I'm almost to month 8! It was really bad when it first started falling out, I would get handfuls of hair clogging up the...
Yay! I'm a band to sleeve revision person and I absolutely LOVE my sleeve! I hated the uncomfortable feeling and food getting "stuck" with the band - I no longer have any of that! Good luck :)
18 pounds the first month is great! Have you ever been able to lose over 4 pounds a week on average prior to surgery?? We had the same starting weight and I lost close to the same the first month -...
Birth control works the same after surgery as it does before surgery... I don't know why people are stating otherwise. I had surgery, was on a tremendous load of antibiotics after surgery as I ended...
I found out my light-headedness after surgery was because my iron was low and I was anemic. My Dr. had me start taking a prenatal multivitamin since there's more iron and I've felt great since...
You go girl!
I agree with the others... take your measurements! During that time my weight fluctuated a few pounds up and then a few pounds down and I got so frustrated but then I would suddenly drop like 4 or 5...
I understand your concern... But I do want to give you my input. I'm a Senior in Nursing School with 1 semester left. I had surgery in December with Dr. Almanza between my Junior & Senior semesters...
The surgery doesn't take away your feelings of hunger completely - ever, for that matter. At that stage I remember I felt like I was starving! When you start to incorporate soft foods it will get...
I hope it doesn't either! And thank you :) you will be here before you know it and feeling great!
I would call your Doc - you might have a stricture of your pouch or something - it's not normal to vomit up everything 7 weeks out from surgery. Hope it gets better!
