Re: First Appointment with the Surgeon

My surgeon said the pre op diet is only to reduce the size of the liver so they have more space to work. Apparently eliminating the carbs gets the liver using up its store and it starts to reduce in...

Re: My first major challenge since surgery..

Whats really nice about the sleeve is that soon you will be able to eat all this stuff again, but just a little portion and then you will fell full and quite content. So its the best of both worlds,...

Re: Day 2 Post Op and Fever

Fever can be a sign of the body fighting infection so after surgery like this it could be a bad sign. I agree with the other posters, don't take chances and double check with your doctor or surgeon....
  10. Re: How soon after the sleeve can a person get preg?

I would wait until after you leave the operating theater.

Re: This Pre-Op liquid diet is greusome

Yes, and I think its the worst part of the surgery really. Apart from the day after the surgery where you feel crappy, but from then on it gets better as there is less restrictions on the type of...

Re: New Years Eve is MY DAY!!

I would not worry too much about loosing weight at this point and I think its best to just focus on the surgery and getting well after that. What an amazing day to have the operation and your never...

I guess we have all had that "what the hell have I gone and done" feeling after surgery, however you do get back to a more normal phase. I can eat fairly normally. But its different. Today I was so...

Re: Two months into supervised diet

May I asked why you have a supervised diet, as I only had to diet for 2 weeks to reduce my liver size so the surgeons had space for the surgery. I am not sure why you would need to diet longer than...

    Re: feeling defeated

Yes, its quite normal. It will come off. Apparently the body tries to fight the weight loss, but exercise helps and sticking to more solid protein foods etc. The weight loss is not so linear and it...
