Start walking as soon as they will let you. That helped me soooo much. The pain was not near as bad as I had it in my head. The waiting game was the worst for me.

It took me a year to decide on the surgery. Like you it freaked me thinking about 3/4 stomach gone but the more I read and talked I knew this was what I wanted to do. I finally had my fill of...
Everyone is different so really go off the way you are feeling. I was deer hunting 1 week and 4 days post op and did wonderful. Like you as long as I had my potty I was fine. :)
I drove after 2 days and off pain meds.
I do want to add that I had gallbladder out in 06 and that surgery alone was way worse than sleeve with hernia repair.
Yes I had mine repaired during surgery and was taken off Nexium that same day.
I have had highlights and lowlights after surgery with no problems at all. I totally agree with needing to have hair done!
Oh yum! Thank you for posting!
Oh Rochelle this made me laugh! I have same feelings about my computer.
Wahooo so glad to hear from you and how well you are doing!
No not everyone gets drainage tubes. I did not myself. The part that flipped my out was thinking about how bad it was going to hurt. I did all that worrying for nothing. Now it was not a walk in...
Welcome! I would take your makeup or some of it. I just feel better when I have mine on. Yes I would take sweats for the trip home. You will be swollen some and they will feel better than jeans.
Welcome!! Yep....we all have been there too trying every diet that comes along. It took me a year when I first started thinking seriously about this surgery to get my head right on the lifestyle...
Hi Danny and YES I did! I thought I was going to claw myself to death! I was about 3 weeks out when they hit. I ended up changing from Dial soap (that I have used for years) to Caress and only...
The Centrum Chewable tastes like the candy sweet tarts. Also do NOT get GNC liquid vitamins. I took one dose and threw the whole bottle down sink. They are nasty nasty nasty!
I am right in there with Stacy but also take chewable iron twice a day.
!Thanks Robynn! I did not know about the gold one and for sure going to look into it also. I am just not the class person either.
Ditto!! I am off all my meds too! Dr took me off day of surgery and all blood work has been perfect. This was the turning point for me to do this surgery.
The pain after is what freaked me out the most. I had gallbladder out in 06 and would think oh crap this is going to hurt like that and even on way to hospital I was thinking well in 2 hours I am...
Hi Julie, I will be 57 on Saturday and had surgery Oct 2012. The greatest gift we can give our grandkids is to be around for a while. Congrats for taking the bull by the horns and keep us updated!
You don't want to over do things but really only restriction I was on for 6 weeks was not to lift over 10 pounds. Just take your time on things and do as you can. Just remember to drink. I am bad...
You CAN do this! The prize at the end is wonderful! If you start to back slide jump on here and we will get your head back in the game. :) Hang in there not much longer!
Yes I did this everytime I ate in the beginning. I call it stacking because that is what it feels like to me. It will still happened to me if I have that 1 bite too much or not chewed enough.
Wahoooo! Remember walk walk walk. It is all soooo worth it!
Me too on the milk, tuna and sweets. The milk is getting some better but I gag on tuna. I used to drink so much milk my hubby kept telling me he was going to buy a cow. I also love my EAS protein...
