Lots of support here, welcome.
OK. Definitely a GS 1st world issue but I'm grounded as I await my COVID-19 test results so why not.
I have followed this site since early 2013 while I was still contemplating GS surgery. This...
Mine was removed several years before sleeve. Most painless procedure for me and so much relief.
Type "resleeve" in search field . There are many listed posts.
Sorry to hear of your loss.
Welcome. You have found the right place.
For me, the two-week liquid diet was the worst part of the entire process. I was never hungry, my problem was I'm a stickler for food variety, loved my two cups of coffee in a.m. and my one Diet Coke...
You are right! Maybe that explains why two posts for cooking pork chops is displayed daily.
My surgeon advised patients to never again consume carbonated drinks after surgery.
Six months after my 2013 surgery, I was confronted with a mild indigestion which was helped by a sip of ginger...
Merry Christmas! And to another New Year when losing weight will not be a resolution, secret wish, or whatever term you prefer to use.
Welcome. Few, if any on this blog, have regretted their informed decision. Negative comments are mostly by those who seem to have failed to take a realistic look at themselves and the procedure....
As always, an inspiring post.
Unfortunately,I have had no problems with carbonation. I didn't have any carbonated drinks for about a year post surgery (former Diet Coke addict), then I tried and had no repercussions so started...
Congratulations! Looking good.

All my...
Since my surgery in 2013, I record my weight and the measurements of 10 different points on my body on the 1st of each month. Then I add the total of those inches. I find that the total hasn't...
What a wonderful adventure! Best of all to you.
You can do this!
I carried 4 weeks worth in backpack for the Camino though not such a change in temp as you may have. Can't tell you how many times I repacked after culling one or more items. Does...
For me, your current phase of the process (two week prep) was by far the worst. I was fortunate in that both the operation and recovery were easy. Once home,I took it easy for a week or so and then...
Pre and post surgery hunger is completely different experience for me. Six years out, I do get hungry and sometimes even shaking if I fail to eat at routine times I have established. Difference is...
Thank you for the info, Dutchie. My husband is off to get some OTC omeprazol.
Gastric Sleevers are to stop using NSAIDS. This was bad news for me but for 6 years I have followed.
There are some instances where I have been advised to take them until I remind them I am a GS...
You are my nominee for Gastric Sleeve poster child.
The very best of luck to you!
I continue to be a foodie even five years after surgery. Because we entertain a good bit to folks who know nothing about my sleeve I find delicious recipes that fit the...
Advice from srsebaer is spot on. I personally found hot and cold liquids problematic so tepid water was the easiest to sip. Only thing I would add is to skip the use of straws.
