    Ann2's wise words...

    Hi All,

I've been a regular reader of this forum since I was sleeved and have learned so much from you all. Thank you for sharing your journeys with everyone--it really helps when you're in the...
  2. Re: 4 months post surgery, feeling discouraged

I add unflavored protein powder (Unjury) to sugar free pudding--1 scoop for every cup of liquid you add--so you get a bonus protein bump with your "treat"...plus you stay satisfied much longer.
  3. Re: Bad Experience with Rockwood in Spokane WA

I'd listen to Ann. If you're on a mission to be "right" you might create more of an issue long-term. Meet the surgeon. S/he is much more important and essential to your success.

    That's not to say...

  7. Re: BCBS of AL - what are the comorbities? 5'2"/208#/38 BMI

If your PCP is on board I wouldn't worry too much about qualifying Mcagma. My BMI was under what was needed and I didn't technically have the comorbidities that insurance listed as necessary. I...

Re: New - How long do I have to wait???

I had my consult on 12/22 and my surgery was 3/13. I have BCBS insurance. The hardest part was scheduling all the pre-op testing so that I was done a month before surgery (Surgeon's policy.)

Re: Can you Update us Please

I am 3 days post op and am so happy that it went so smoothly. My incisions are a little tender but other than that I feel just fine.

I was doing laps in the hospital and met another patient. She...

    Re: Arthritis

Having had both knees replaced i can tell you it's the best thing I've ever done--just had VSL today so might be bumped to #2! I'd been in an accident and spent 10 years trying to "walk it off." The...

    Re: About to have surgery

Ann do you use a therapist that specializes in bariatric issues? Not sure they exist but am going to start looking for someone now before I have the surgery. Thanks, Amanda

I'm not sure whether or not to disclose what I'm doing. Right now only my husband knows.
