Great job! And great system! :)
Turkey jerky. All protein, very low carb/calorie. Just be careful of the salt/sodium, don't eat it every day. :) I also always like the Nature Valley protein bars - 190 calls, 10 grams of protein, 6...
Wonderful news! Congratulations!!
A lot of it might be head hunger, missing the action of eating, the urge to want to chew something. I was bad with that three and four days out. It gets better. :)
Non-starchy vegetables - no peas, corn, or potatoes. For liquids do protein shakes, broth, water (use the flavoring drops if you don't like it plain, they really help).
Good luck!
I had no problems speaking after mine. Your throat might be a little irritated, but should be fine the next day.
Internal stitches and glue here, too - thankfully! I had staples when I had my gallbladder out over ten years ago.
Oh, that's awesome! I definitely want to try out NatureBox when I'm further out.
I can have decaf in the next day or two and I can't lie, I'm counting down the hours haha. I know it'll be less of a habit for me moving forward, but I do enjoy the taste, even just a little in the...
Woke up with no pain, hooray. Still have itchiness across my back and legs, assuming that's from the gas. Gotta walk walk walk today along with my sip sip sip.
Lying on my side still an issue -...
congrats!
Congrats & welcome! Just recently sleeved myself and still learning what I can and can't tolerate. Best wishes moving forward, eyes on the prize!!
Hooray! I'm sleeved! I'll post soon about my experience, for now I am just trying to get the pain under control. :-/ Hoping it's better tomorrow.
Awesome! The pre op diet went better for me than I expected, though I did have one or two moments of weakness. ;) Have a great weekend, and be sure to take some time for you in the midst of all your...
The support groups I attended were one of the main draws to my program for me - the support system is something I know I'll need in the future. I have a great group of friends and family that are...
Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
I'm pretty sure if you asked your surgeon if you could go to a casino the day after surgery, the answer would be "Uh, hell no." Just...don't. Focus on your recovery. You're going to be very tired and...
Haha, my two favorites, of course. :) Thanks!!
Just wondering for my soft foods phase, do you think a small amount of steamed veggies (mashed up, of course) would be okay, after my protein? I'm mostly worried about fiber intake. I'd rather not...
Wonderful progress - congrats!
Still working on this myself. I'm sleeved in 11 days. I've gone from two cups of regular a day to one regular & one decaf. Probably will switch to all decaf in a day or two. I had a headache my first...
I know many people were told to lose weight pre-surgery, and were very successful in their attempts, but I was not one of those people. I had a three month program and they did want me to lose weight...
Wonderful news! The constant pain I have in my feet & ankles has really been the driving force behind my decision to have the surgery - especially since I have a job where I'm on my feet more often...
Welcome and Happy Holidays! Plenty of band-to-sleevers around here, lots of knowledgeable people. I hope you find the answers you're looking for!
