    Re: Question about medication post-op?

If they are small pills (like aspirin size), you could probably swallow them with a tiny sip. Otherwise I'd ask a pharmacist how they recommend crushing them. I don't thing you can crush anything...

    Re: Newbie!

My nutritionist freaked when I told her that after years I had switched from bariatric multivitamins to Walmart ones. She said we need the bariatric ones for our lifetime, as they have nutrients the...

    Re: I love Mondays

I was so sick of protein drinks after surgery I finally gave all my leftovers away to a newbie at support group. But then years later I came back. Now I have at least one a day. I look at it as...

    Re: Waiting..

I lived on YouTube too. So many inspirational stories on there, watching people shrink before your eyes. I also stalked on these boards and learned so much.

I did exercise before surgery, I have...

    Re: Post op anti inflamatories

Once when I did need Ibuprofen (can't even remember why) I was told I could take it if I took it with a Prilosec and with food. Ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers. But I'm like you, very rarely...

    Re: delete my account

Under "control panel", "general settings" you just turn everything off. Then don't log in again. Not sure if you can actually delete everything, but you can quit and never come back.

    But as...

    Re: Post op anti inflamatories

NSAIDS are in meds like Ibuprofen. (A medical person would be able to tell you more). I was told I could only take Tylenol for pain.

    Re: Newbie!

Glad you're doing well and getting better every day. I used ProCare Health multivitamins online, they were very small, chewable, and just one a day. For my calcium citrate I liked Building Blocks,...

    Re: Milestones!

I'm colder too, I guess that fat was insulation. But I still get outside in the cold thanks to lots of layers and my favorite Land's End down coat. I sweat in that at 20 degrees. We have purchased...

    Re: Milestones!

Wow - looking great! Congratulations! That is a huge amount of weight. Doesn't it feel AMAZING?

I think you will enjoy exercise if you just get started. Once you start it becomes a habit, just...

    Re: Hello everyone!

I bought one of those bullet blenders and didn't really use it. I also tried baby food - HUGE mistake. I would stick to naturally soft foods like greek yogurt, re-fried beans, etc. Soft boiled...

Re: Please help me VSG regrets/Pain

I did not have a rocky start, but we all have a different tolerance for pain. I enjoyed every step of the way, got excited shopping for the new foods I could add each week. I guess you could say I...

    Re: Timeline of events

Every surgeon is different. Some have to do 2 weeks of the pre-op diet, others just can't eat after midnight before surgery. I had 5 days of protein shakes. Here's the diet progression I followed....

I would ask your doctor, as I don't know. We all know we can't take NSAIDS.

    Re: High protein snack ideas?

Nuts (good for you but watch the quantity), low-fat string cheese, greek yogurt (low fat/sugar), a hard boiled egg, fresh fruit, carrots or any other fresh veggies dipped in hummus. Protein bars but...

    Re: Lying Doctor?

We are going with the #1 tour operator, and yes, if they evaluate you and tell you to go down, you go down. Not worth risking death that's for sure. Hubby and I made an agreement that if one of us...
