    Re: Not that bad

    Great attitude.

The pre-op diet is probably the worst part of the whole process - and even then it's not really that bad.
It's for a finite time and there is great reward at the end :-)

    Good...

Re: Summer Schedule Struggle -- anyone else?

I understand totally. I am a creature of habit. Mon-Fri is great. I'm at work, I organise and pack my meals the night before and pretty much eat the same things every day (I'm fine with that!). The...

    Re: Hello Sleevers

At nearly 2 years out I still keep a record of what I eat and when. I also still weigh and measure my food to make sure that my eyes are not "deceiving" me with my portions :-) I also record my...

    Re: Surgery Thursday

I didn't have to lose any weight before surgery - but being on the optifast pre surgery diet I couldn't help but lose :-) It was about 7 kg's I think.
As long as you have followed your surgeons...

    Re: July 24th

I only told a few select friends (after I had the surgery) who were (and still are) totally supportive.
My partner knew of course but I didn't want any negativity from anyone who had no idea what...

    Re: Another 'small' scale victory

Woohoo! Good for you. Anytime we step outside our normal routine can be a challenge. I love the "Mindfulness" thought idea. Perhaps I should get that tattooed on my hand so I see it every time I go...

Re: Pre Op Diet... I need help

Everyone seems to be different. I was 3 weeks Optifast. 3 products a day - which ever I wanted. I went for 2 shakes and a bar. It was probably the worst part of the whole process but even then it...

It's possibly the sodium in the pickle juice that helps with the cramp.

    Re: Women's Sizes?!

Clothing sizes drive me crazy........but at least they are now all much smaller than pre surgery so I can (almost) handle that.

I recently bought a winter coat - it was a XS. I have never been...

    Re: Head hunger and grazing...

My red alert time is when I get home from work and before dinner is ready. It is usually 3 hours since I last ate and at least 2 hours before dinner. If I don't have a structure snack then I will be...

    Welcome.

Can't help with the pickle issue, but hopefully someone will come along soon and advise.
If you are wondering if you can still eat them after surgery - well I can :-)

Well done on your continued loss - you are nearly there :-)

I'm with you on the airline food - it's not the best. Although some is definitely better than others.

    You trip sounds fabulous.
My partner and I both have bikes. It was such fun buying new riding gear - so much more to choose from in smaller sizes :-)
And so much more comfortable riding now.
