Pass me a piece!
Nothing is wrong. The weight isn't going to fall off overnight. Keep doing what you need to do, you'll get there. You're off to a great start!
Glad to hear all went well and you are off to a good recovery!
Take care!
I have my first follow up on Thursday and I am asking if I can have refried beans. I am so tired of all this sweet stuff!
(Oh, the nerve that goes up to your shoulder crosses through your belly, so when you are gassy/bloated, this is why you can feel the pain in your shoulder).
My gas pains post-op were manageable, but today, day 10, worst gas pains ever! Burping, farting, and belching constantly and my back and shoulder are aching. Enjoy the gas free days!
I think I might be having a positively exceptional recovery experience. I won't rub it in, but I'm not complaining either :)
Ya- my back was aching from it as well.
Day 6 I was able to lay on my side with a pillow wedged against my belly. Last 2 nights (9 and 10) were blissfully and fully on my belly.
Little pleasures...
Oh yes! Getting to sleep on my stomach again was amazing! Enjoy :)
You can make most with water or use soy, almond, or help "milk". Also the non-flavoured stuff can go in smoothies, yogurts, etc. There is also hemp protein though it has higher carbs. And peanut...
I had three choices- Slimfast diet, milk diet, or food. The food one seemed to complicated for me. Slimfast and milk diets meet all your nutritional needs, they just aren't very satisfying.
Ya- I can appreciate how frustrating it is. I've made the conscious choice not to buy a scale and my first post-op weigh in will be Thursday at my follow-up and then I will only weigh myself weekly...
You are losing almost a pound a day- that is fantastic!
It's easier said than done, but don't get so caught up in the scale that you lose sight of the other changes in your body (losing inches,...
Congrats Carolyn! Keep up the good work :)
(Not being a native Brit- your stones thing drives me insane!) ;)
The first 3 days were brutal. I felt sick, light headed, headachy, not to mention starving. I only had to do 5 days and days 4 and 5 were much much easier. It was also good prep for the very low...
Not allowed coffee yet, but it is first on my list after my follow up next week.
On the pre-op diet I was only allowed Slimfast and had the caffe flavour- which was utterly vile (as are all the...
Glad to hear you are home and wishing you a speedy recovery :) (9 days out, I can tell you each day gets SO much easier) :)
Sounds like you are recovering well- keep on keeping on- each day get SO much better! :)
Well done!! And good for you for not being ruled by the scale when you can see the other great changes. Keep it up! :)
YOu can add me: oohmercyme
Talk to your pharmacist about what you can crush. Slow- release tabs in particular shouldn't be crushed, but some other's as well. Get professional advice before you crush any of them.
Good luck!
All the best!
Like most people here, I have lost and regained my weight many times and added to it with each regain. About 6 months ago I went into therapy to try to address the issue- the first time I have...
Fantastic! Bet you have a lot more energy to chase after that lil guy now. Enjoy :)
