I was never told that I would not be hungry. During the first several months, I found that I would eat out of necessity more than out of hunger, I went through a phase where I had no interest in food...
While I didn't use the same Dr. as you, I can tell you that I only took pain meds for 2 days, and switched to Tylenol.
Like Sonic slushes? If so, I thought I would try one, with one of the Splenda flavors. I was told by the person taking my order that, while the flavored syrup is made with Splenda. the ice itself has...
I have people tell me that quite often now. I reached and surpassed my goal and my surgeon's goal. I have been around the same weight, give or take a pound or 2, for the last 4 months, and I feel...
As you can see, I haven't been on in a while. Thank you all for the kind words. As for how I did it, I just followed the basic rules and was very blessed that the weight came off. I could never have...
Thank you all!
What a difference a year makes, indeed. Yesterday marked my one year "surgeversary". I would not change a thing. Having the sleeve done was the best decision of my life. Keep the faith, people.
The...
I set my goal weight at 150. I didn't even ask the doctor what his goal was for me. I started at 257, 43 years old and 5; 6". I have not seen 150 in a long, long time. I had my 9 months check up on...
I'm cold all the time now. My husband bought me an electric blanket for Christmas.
Congrats! My surgeon says that the body knows when to quit. I am 5' 6", and set my goal at 150. My surgeon said I could go to 140 easily. I am currently 135, and still lose a 1/2 a pound every few...
blended yogurt was not considered a soft food, but a liquid, by my doc.
Nothing to do with the sleeve. I just wanted to wish each of you and your families a Merry Christmas.
How you felt about yourself as a person before surgery/after surgery? I see myself in a completely different light now; as a person, not a slob 6/10
How you felt about your body before surgery/after...
my nose runs if i eat too much
chin up. you are not doing this for anyone but you. you do not need their approval. tell them that you have decided to have the surgery and would hope to have their support.
you should be doing low carb. the diet your surgeon/dietitian provides is designed to be high protein and low carb.
My surgeon said 6-8 weeks. There's another thread on this topic further down.
it's not that bad. Trust me, you won't want food for a while. I didn't have any issues, personally. I was sleeved, no them, so I prepared regular foods.
I lost my first 100+ (in 8 months) without working out. I do now, and wish I had started sooner, due to all the loose flab.
thanks. I don't think I will ever be a 1; that would definitely be too skinny for me. My surgeon says that the body knows when to stop losing. I am not doing anything to keep losing at this point.
thank you. I will be 44 next month!
thanks! My weight loss was consistent and steady up until the last few months. I lose about a 1/2 lb every week now.
As I sit here, trying to come up with something new and exciting to say, I find myself at a loss. There's nothing I haven't said about my sleeve. I' still love it, and the results I've had from it.

I am 10 months out and am able to drink normally. I focus on protien first, but can eat a few bites of whatever I like with no issues. I'm still slowly losing, but I am 11 lbs below my goal weight.
