Re: Fast Weightloss after Surgery, Concerned!

I was sleeved on 6/5 and as of today (6/23) I'm down 15 - 20lbs. It has slowed down a little -- as long as you're doing the necessary things and keeping up with your protien and fluid intake, it...

    Re: 3 weeks post surgery

I'm almost four weeks out of surgery (6/5) and have just started soft foods. Right now, I'm having a hard time with anything "too sweet" - which is a lot of stuff. Even SF Jello and Pudding sometimes...
  4. Re: How long should you be off work after having a sleeve?

I was told two weeks... but absolutely no lifting anything more than 20lbs until cleared by my surgeon. However they did say iuf its a desk job with minimal activity you could go back sooner.

    Re: Sleeve journey mslove

Hope everything has been going better -- it may be too late, but have you tried thinning out the protein shake with a little skim milk (or other non-dairy milk)?

    Poll: Re: Hello!

I said a little, but I want to clarify. Most of my "nausea" was upon waking in the morning this week, after the Protonix had worn off/I was due to take another. And it wasn't horrible. I have not...

    Re: Day two!

I agree with mellowjoy -- it may be a temp thing. I can't handle really really cold things (like apple juice) and usually let it get "room temp" for a few minutes before I take a sip. Good luck!

    Re: 4 days to go...

I was sleeved on Monday... and I only told a small portion of people (work included) because of the reaction most of my family had when my mom went through the process of having Gastric Bypass -- so...
  9. Re: Three days post op... pain? What relief worked for you?

Thanks! I have that as well... and it helps, but I don't want to get hooked on it.
  10. Three days post op... pain? What relief worked for you?

Hey everyone! Just had surgery June 5th (yay!) And my incision pain is a non-issue. What is is what feels like a stitch in my side, lower than my incisions. I thought it was gas, but I've been...

    Re: Freezing

Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to this? I knew it would happen because my mom (who had full bypass) was always warm before is constantly freezing now (she's about five years out and...

    Re: A little concerned

As part of the process, my surgeon had me go see a cardiologist who ordered an EKG/Stress Test. I was nervous too (mostly because my father had had bypass surgery and I was afraid I may be in the...

Re: Recovery time and return to work

I'm curious about this too -- and can't wait to see your recover time. I too work a desk job (and another part time gig) and was already planning on two weeks when the time came, but the closer we...

    Hello!

Just thought I'd introduce myself -

My name is Melinda and I started seriously considering bariatric surgery back in July 2016. Since that time, I've decided on going with gastric sleeve. I'm...
