Ellie, I haven't gained although am baking...I think I'm "vicarously" snacking. I have started Yoga (for seniors) as a stress reducing activity. I'm not even sure I am stressed, other than by other...

Re: Gastric Sleeve post op 4 weeks

You're doing well! Just follow the program. And eating small amounts at a time, even if you space them out, helps your stomach heal. Best! Keep posting.

Re: Sleeve July 3 - Gerd

It's the balancing act of protein, water and healthy carbs -- easy to know, but early on my stomach was a mess. Now, unless I eat too quickly it behaves. You'll get the hang of it quickly Be kind...

Checking in -- sort of ghost town?

Hey folks. Just checking in. Lots of life going on for all of us but the board seems mighty quiet.

We are still in the process of supporting mum (99) in her being in her own home; our new kicker...

Welcome! It's a good solid group for support. No, for me and TX -- I'm in NC. But I think there are groups by state.

You're certainly in the best frame of mind! And when you get so you have that bite of meatball, you'll find that's enough!
It's a wonderful journey and you've joined a terrific group of supporters.

Re: Gastric sleeve: record of weight loss

It took about 6 months for me to hit goal, then dropped too low, and now stable for about 3 years.
It's a learning process; trust the tool; protein, vegetables, water water water :)
  16. Re: Weight gain, almost 3 years out and alcohol

Kim, its easy to let anything creep up on you in your life, and transfer addiction is spot on.
I had my surgery the same time you did; I hit way too low early on, and have gotten back to a healthy,...

    Re: Getting There

I do weigh every day, but its not as disturbing as it once was -- I think if we hid it (along with the 1,000s of other things we can't find) the scale would be gone!

Re: What is the best way to track calories burned?

I'm old; I don't get too much exercise, nor did I during the faster weight loss of early sleeve. But I hit my goal within 7 months, and remain their within 2-3 pounds the last almost 4 years.

    I do...

    Re: concerned

Nothing different to add -- I do the same things. I've been at or below goal since 7 months out from surgery.
Protein first, lots of water, then dense carbs... :)
