'you can have the end of the coccyx shaved down if it continues to cause problems'
Ouch!!
I haven't had trouble with my coccyx but I can't sit on hard chairs because the bones in my bum hurt. I have hardly any meat left on my bum so I always try to sit on a cushion otherwise it is too...
I had a lap band and found that it was easier to eat 'bad' foods and difficult to eat foods like salad and eggs. I lost a lot of weight but was not happy and and found it difficult to find an ideal...
Well done, looking good
I have been overweight since I was 14 years old and have yo-yo dieted since then. This is the first time I feel totally in control. my attitude has changed and I know that the changes I have made...
Thank's, can't stop smiling but have obviously forgotten how to count. I completely missed out October so it is 6 weeks from the anniversary.:o
I'm soooo happy, I'm like a dog with two tails. I reached my goal weight today, three weeks before my sleeve one year anniversary. One short year and my life has changed beyond all recognition, I...
I believe it is dried meat, yuk!
It happens to me too, I make sure I don't eat carbs when I'm out because I know I will need to lie down for a while.
I am at the same stage as you, at the top end of normal according to the BMI charts. I too have wobbly legs and a roll of fat on my stomach and feel that I have not reached a weight that I am happy...
I'm 10 months out and I start my day with a protein shake too. I really enjoy it and like Stacy I love knowing that I start my day with 30+ grams of protein. I intend to continue with this as it is...
I also depends on which BMI chart you use. I was delighted when my used an internet BMI chart, it said my BMI was 27.1 and just inside the normal range. I can't remember the last time I was in the...
Hi and welcome
I used the Healthier Weight group, they have clinic in Birmingham. They did mine and I have nothing but praise for the whole team. I had my op about 5 weeks ago and have had no...
I am 3 weeks post op and for the last few days I have been having shakes with fruit. I have also tried yoghurt and mince and well cooked carrots in gravy. I was not able to eat much but it was lovely...
I'm supposed to be going to a Christmas meal with work colleagues in a couple of weeks. We have to pay quite a lot for a set menu and there is only one thing on the whole menu I will be able to eat....
Why are you not supposed to have 100% fruit juice.
Welcome to the group, the time will fly and you will be sleeved in no time. Good luck:D
That happened to me this morning, I could not face another protein shake. I made up some very fine porridge, shortly after I finished I became overwhelmingly tired and had to lie down. I didn't know...
I had my surgery on the 1st Nov and I go back to work tomorrow(10 days off). I am off pain meds, drinking my shakes and getting my fluids in however I have needed a nap every day. Slightly worried...
I am 8 days out and just the thought of a protein shake makes me want to vomit, I don't know how I am going to last for another 6 days.
Maybe you have a bit more swelling because of the band removal. I am 8 days out and have been drinking 2 shakes, a soup, 2 cups of green tea and sipping water in between. Everyone is different try...
I am 6 days post op and have been going up and down stairs with no problem since I got home four days ago. I just took it easy for the first few days.
I had my sleeve done yesterday and was allowed to sip water as soon as I got back to my room.
Congrats on the new sleeve, glad to hear you are doing ok. Prof Ammori is doing my sleeve next Friday and I have heard very good things about him and his team.
Yes I have every confidence in Prof Ammori, he has an exemplary record and although I am disappointed I realise it is definitely the safest thing to do.
