    Re: Sleeve to Bypass revision

Hope you find answers. I'm considering the revision myself, for different reasons. I originally wanted bypass, but my doctor talked me in to the sleeve. Kind of wishing I had stuck to my original...

    Re: Kidney Stones anyone??

I had six kidney stones before my surgery, but haven't had any since. Those things are NOTTTTTTT fun!!!

I think gall stones are more common in WLS patients. Thanks goodness my gall bladder was...

Re: Ate too much or too fast...barf!!!

Yuck, I hate that feeling. I've only thrown up twice since my surgery and both times it was because I ate WAY too fast.

Surgery + cruise = it can work!

    Hello all!

I went on a 4 day cruise last week, and from the time I left until today, I've lost 10 pounds!!

    My tips:
Get a stateroom on the VERY end (front or back) of the ship, that way you...
  6. Re: I'd like to here from those who weren't perfect at using their sleeve as a tool...as in everything is ok in modertion

I've cheated a few times on my "diet", but I remind myself it's not the end of the world, and I'm back on track in no time.

A big majority of us became overweight because of food addiction, so...

    NSV, Disneyland version!

    Hello all :)

I went on my first vacation since my surgery in August. My friend and I flew to CA and spent two days at Disneyland. FYI, my weight on the morning of surgery was 331. I'm now 292...

Re: The Miracle of the Restaurant Serving

I literally loathe going out to eat now. I used to go 5 or so times a week before the surgery. Now, it's such a pain to find something healthy (AKA something your stomach won't reject), sit there...

    Re: I'm Freezing!

My nurse at the hospital laughed at me the first time I told her I was cold. When the weight melts off, we have no more insulation!

Living in AZ, I would overheat in the summer (or all the...
  11. Re: How many calories are you eating 5-8 weeks after sleeve?

I still can't eat a lot, but I'd guess I'm eating 600-800 calories a day. I have to make myself eat sometimes, too. I hate eating now! (And I love that feeling!)

Re: 9 days out and breaking down

I had the same feelings you're having when I was a few days out of surgery as well. I would almost call them panic attacks. All I could think about was my favorite foods and how I won't be able to...
  13. Re: What goes in doesn't always come out. Otherwise known as constipation.

My gastroenterologist told me to use PB8 (a probiotic brand). It helps A LOT...trust me :)

I buy it on Amazon. Just type in PB8. It's the blue bottle.

Re: Why did you choose Sleeve over Banding??

I know several people who had the band and they all lost weight initially, now they're as big as ever.

I wanted something permanent. As others have said, you can eat around the band. You can...

    Re: That ONE incision

I called the doctor's office and they let me talk to the surgeon. I described what the pain was like and he thinks I pulled a stitch. Yikes! His advice was to take it easy for a while. I guess I...

    That ONE incision

How worried should I be about a sharp pain coming from the one incision (the one they pulled the stomach out of)? I haven't really had pain there, but today, ever since I got to work, it's been on...
  17. Re: Revenge is a dish best served at sub-zero temperatures

One thing I kind of "like" (not really like, but you know what I mean) about being overweight is it weeds people out. If someone had those harsh things to say to you BEFORE you lost a lot of weight,...

Re: What to do when insurance doesn't cover GS?

Just curious, does your plan cover ANY weight loss surgeries? I'm wondering because I have BCBS and mine was fully covered.
