    Re: Salad

Three weeks may be a bit early, but I was definitely able to eat salad by my second month - just eat your protein first! I eat way smaller amounts of salad now which I find hard, but it is so...

Re: Eating less 3 months out

I can actually eat quite a lot, but less than I was able to maybe a month ago. I guess it is like folks are saying - solids fill you up more. But there is really nothing I have not been able to eat...

    Re: Surviving Pre-op

Yes the pre-op was REALLY hard for me - could NOT STAND the optifast and thought I would never make it the 3 weeks. But suddenly it was done, I had the sleeve operation in January, and now I am 50lbs...

Re: How many carbs at 3+ months?

I'm just a newbie, but I have managed to get moving on the scale again after 2 weeks of no movement. I put my protein back up to about 80gms (I had slipped down to around 65), and close to 1000...

    Moving again!

Sooo happy - moving again after that 2 week stall! I increased my protein again from about 65 to 80+ a day, and my calories intake to about 1000, and 3 lbs down in less than a week! This is all about...

  10. Re: I need some support and thoughts here from those with experience

Yes, I guess it is a matter of trial and error to see what works for MY body - just so scared of gaining as I figure this out! I am going to try upping the protein again and see where that takes me....

  12. Re: I need some support and thoughts here from those with experience

YOur weight loss numbers were FANTASTIC! 29lbs and 22lbs the first 2 months! Will this ever happen for me?!
  13. Re: I need some support and thoughts here from those with experience

Good luck with it - I DO feel great even if a little frustrated!
  14. Re: I need some support and thoughts here from those with experience

I keep my carbs to 30g or less - that is pretty low isn't it? And none of it is from simple carbs - I really eat no bread, pasta etc, my carbs come from the other foods I eat, and basically no fruit....
  15. I need some support and thoughts here from those with experience

    Hi there,

I had my sleeve done Jan 3, so I am almost 6 weeks out. Generally things have been great - no pain, lots of energy, following diet with no problems etc. BUT I am not losing weight right...

Honestly? Not being able to walk my 155lb Newfoundland dog until now because of the fear that he might pull me and pull out sutures! But other than that, I think the drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water...

    Hi there,

I am 4 weeks post op and it has not been nearly as hard as I expected! The pre-op diet was waaaay harder for me. I was just so happy to eat real food that the fact that it is pureed does...
