Okay need help / advice! I had my surgery last year (March) and I feel so much better, but I feel like I can eat too much. I haven't lost but about 5lbs in the past 6months. I haven't weighed in...
I'm down 60lbs and post op 4 1/2 months. Doc says no carbonation since it can stretch my stomach back out.... I only drink a sip of soda here or there and haven't had beer although I've seen photos...
What are you eating and drinking? Are you drinking all the water you're supposed to?? I'm not losing much. :(
I don't think I drink enough either....
My doc told me to add slimy foods on Thursday.... Like slimy pasta, or vegetable soup.
Two protein shakes made with water daily. Drinking mostly water sometimes unsweetened tea. Foods sugar free pudding, Greek yogurt, broth. Idk what I'm doing wrong. But was in the hospital 4.5 days...
The morning of my surgery I weighed in at 197 at home, 13 days later... I'm about 194. Anyone else experience this?
I have a hernia but doc said they couldn't do it at the same time because insurance wouldn't cover the hernia at the same time! You'd think one time under would be less expensive on them! Ugh. Now...
I have paid about 2800 total in deductibles this year. Including surgery.
Hospital for me was 25K, doc 9K. But I ended up being in the hospital for 4.5 days so I know the hospital $ will only go up! So 34K to start. We shall see how much it ends up being after all.
Since my surgery I've gotten a sweet taste in my mouth at times. I think it may be my protein shakes, but they don't have much sugar at all. It's a nasty taste to me and even makes my water sweet???...
I don't know if you can hack it but I take liquid vitamins. I actually like the taste though! :)
I'm on clear liquids!!! Ugh I'm considering a little Greek yogurt. ?!?!!
I've been on a clear liquid diet for a week now and surgery is scheduled for Monday. I'm extremely nauseated! Almost debilitating. Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal? It's kinda like...
You look phoenomenal!!! Congratulations
4'11" here and I started this year at my highest of 221. I was 213 last week when I started my pre-op diet and now I'm 201! I can't wait to get to my...
Oh and two more things my own soft blanket and my own pillows!!!!
My pre-op was yesterday as well! Best wishes and good luck to you!
Thank you all. 4 kids, I've gotta be organized in some ways. No, not Mexico, my insurance is covering the surgery! Minus deductibles of course!!
Okay, so I'm getting ready!!! Going to the hospital with me is:
Heating pad
Slippers
comfy pajama pants
Sports bra
Gas X Strips
SF lifesavers
Pill crusher
CPAP machine
Ok I'm on day 7 of 10 last night I tried a pinch of peanut butter and I got this nauseated feeling, heartburn? Is this a sign of things to come? Today I took a bite of pizza, chewed it and spit it...
That's what is so great about this site!!! Best wishes to you both!
Lucky you I'm on 10 days clear liquids only! Surgery MONDAY!! Best wishes to you
You need a good multi vitamin. Chewable might be better for post op, I'm on a liquid multi vitamin. I actually like the taste but that's me. No one else in my house can hack it! ;)
Vitamins are VITAL! Whey Protein anything with 20+ grams of protein and under 200 calories
