  1. Re: Need tips! New and old sleevers Help...

If you are having stomach issues after so long of feeling great, contact your surgeon. Something may be up, like a gallbladder or whatever. (I'm no doctor!)

And as for 7 pounds, that's nothing! ...

    Dinner of 2

I've been sleeved for over 7 years and doing well. Funny thing, hubby is doing just as well as I am without surgery. He's an excellent cook and it's always "dinner of 2," a protein and a veggie. ...

    Re: Clothes

Women's clothing is often off. While I typically wear an 8, I do fit in a size 12 Kuhl hiking pants! I should cut that horrible number out! Maybe it's European sizing or something.

    Re: Newbie

Your friend CHOSE to gain her weight back. If you want it bad enough it works. If you eat how you are taught and exercise it works. I've been a normal sized person for over 6 years now. No way...
  6. Re: Cautious after unsuccessful lapband experience

Welcome! Sorry the Lapland was not a success, but that seems to be common. My surgeon doesn't even do that surgery anymore due to the problems he's seen with it.

I think you'll be thrilled with...

Re: 3 years out and I am miserable

You're still down 45 pounds, that's a lot! Everyone here knows what they are talking about, you just have to get your head straight and get back on track. You can do it!
  8. Re: 3 weeks post op - gurgling, hard to get anything down

I didn't have GERD, but my stomach 'talked" for about the whole first month. Made crazy noises. Glad that went away!

    Hope you feel better.

    Re: Reset sleeve

It isn't your sleeve that needs a reset; it's your mind. And it's totally doable! Almost all of us have gone through periods of weight gain. I know I have. I joined Weight Watchers, but do...

Re: 7 years on the 7th!

What's going on on this site? Most of the regulars are gone. Somehow new people (trolls?) are searching super old posts and commenting on a huge amount of them.
  12. Re: What's are the exercises for patients 3 months postop?

Anything you want unless you have restrictions from your surgeon.

    7 years on the 7th!

Surgery anniversary week! Lost all my weight and kept it off. Gave myself a whole new life, best gift ever. I'm at the point now where I barely remember being fat.

    How did I do it?

Re: Hello to the world....where is everyone?

Everyone does seem to be hiding. Then we have pages full of trolls responding to posts up to 8 years old. Weird. I added them to my "ignore" list but they keep showing up.

Re: How long will this last?

I, at almost 7 years out, dream of getting full sooner! Before it was automatic, now I have to be so careful of what I eat.

Re: How long will this last?

They say walking is the best cure for the gas pain. Are you at the mushy food stage? That's where I was at 3 weeks. It WILL get better. Plus you WILL lose an amazing amount of weight.

Re: Techniques to slightly stretch stomach

Sounds crazy to me, but that's just my opinion. It's like you are trying to reverse your surgery. Find ways to get in more calories, like eat more smaller meals. Snack on healthy food, like nuts. ...

For sure you will need help week one. You will be super tired and not want to worry about anyone but yourself. Week 2 would be nice to have some "drop in" help. Good luck!
