    Re: RNY Gastric Bypass!!

This is basically a site for people who have had the sleeve. I wonder if there is a bypass one out there?

    Sounds like you're doing great.

    Re: Surgery Soon

Ask your surgeon. I was cleared to exercise after 2 weeks. But I was also used to exercising, hiked, skied, etc. even when I was overweight.

Best of luck on your surgery! It's so much fun!

    Why?

Why are people digging up old posts, some from 2011? If you have a question, just ask! Someone will probably be able to help.

    Re: Hello! No restriction yet

Liquid and pureed food go right through you. I think when you start real food you will feel restriction. I remember after 2 bites of my first chicken breast I thought I was going to die! Even...
  5. Re: GERD - possible revision to gastric bypass

Seeing I have not suffered with GERD my reply wouldn't mean anything! All I can say is work with your surgeon as to what he/she recommends. Feel better! Hope you get some replies from people who...

Yes, almost everyone else has had this experience. No worries!
  7. Re: Fear has Set in....Surgery in 7 days Rant....advice?

I have been on this site over 7 years and have only heard of one death, maybe 5 years ago. Some serious complications. But I would think 99.9% of the people do just fine. (No clue, just my guess)....

If you are having stomach issues after so long of feeling great, contact your surgeon. Something may be up, like a gallbladder or whatever. (I'm no doctor!)

And as for 7 pounds, that's nothing! ...

    Dinner of 2

I've been sleeved for over 7 years and doing well. Funny thing, hubby is doing just as well as I am without surgery. He's an excellent cook and it's always "dinner of 2," a protein and a veggie. ...

    Re: Clothes

Women's clothing is often off. While I typically wear an 8, I do fit in a size 12 Kuhl hiking pants! I should cut that horrible number out! Maybe it's European sizing or something.

Your friend CHOSE to gain her weight back. If you want it bad enough it works. If you eat how you are taught and exercise it works. I've been a normal sized person for over 6 years now. No way...
  13. Re: Cautious after unsuccessful lapband experience

Welcome! Sorry the Lapland was not a success, but that seems to be common. My surgeon doesn't even do that surgery anymore due to the problems he's seen with it.

I think you'll be thrilled with...

Re: 3 years out and I am miserable

You're still down 45 pounds, that's a lot! Everyone here knows what they are talking about, you just have to get your head straight and get back on track. You can do it!
  15. Re: 3 weeks post op - gurgling, hard to get anything down

I didn't have GERD, but my stomach 'talked" for about the whole first month. Made crazy noises. Glad that went away!

    Hope you feel better.

    Re: Reset sleeve

It isn't your sleeve that needs a reset; it's your mind. And it's totally doable! Almost all of us have gone through periods of weight gain. I know I have. I joined Weight Watchers, but do...

Re: 7 years on the 7th!

What's going on on this site? Most of the regulars are gone. Somehow new people (trolls?) are searching super old posts and commenting on a huge amount of them.

    How did I do it?

Everyone does seem to be hiding. Then we have pages full of trolls responding to posts up to 8 years old. Weird. I added them to my "ignore" list but they keep showing up.

They say walking is the best cure for the gas pain. Are you at the mushy food stage? That's where I was at 3 weeks. It WILL get better. Plus you WILL lose an amazing amount of weight.
