    2 week check up today (13 days), little over 13 lbs since surgery. Finally got released to puree! Soup and refried beans today! Hard to believe 1/4 cup so hard to get down..

    Well I'm 3 days post OP and only suprise so far is the pain. Day of surgery and day after were much worse than I imagined. Lots better now though. Water and protein is a chore to meet goals but...

    Insurance approval arrived yesterday. Start 2 weeks liquid July 9th then surgery July 23rd. Scared and excited both.

    Only symptom was shortness of breath..but I just thought it was because of being fat. BP was a little high but other than that I was great. No diabetes, cholesterol was always great. I just turned 43...

    Yeah, average life span once ruptured is 2-4 years...I had it over 12, had a bulging carotid artery in my neck for 12+, cardiologist says thats when it ruptured.
