    Re: Excited

You will need at least one full week to only worry about yourself. No cooking, childcare, cleaning, driving, whatever. Two weeks would be even better. Very excited for you, I know you have made a...

Re: I think Im doing well?

I LOVED when I had a personal trainer. (He quit, I guess he wasn't making enough $$). All I had to do was tell him any physical limitations I had and he went from there. Yours will know what to...

    Re: Not following the "diet"

It is "stupid easy" to lose the weight! It seems to fall off whatever you do. I think the important part of following the protein first and all the other rules from day one is they become a habit...

Kenson is right, maintenance is not easy. I'm 6 years out and old habits are still in my head. It's daily work. But it's worth it!!...

Looked at the itinerary, and it looks amazing! Not to mention it is rated STRENUOUS. That's incredible, you should be so proud.

But now you just gave me another bucket list item. While we did...

    Re: Not following the "diet"

I would recommend doing what they tell you, it works! Some carbs won't hurt, but concentrate on protein and veggies. Everything in moderation.

    Re: trekking in Ethiopia

I've got you beat, no shower for 9 days on Kilimanjaro. But we had the wet wipes too. And dry shampoo. Not too bad! But it was nice to get back to running water. We hiked to 19,400 feet. Talk...

I'd be happy to have a doctor that won't just operate for the money, that wants to be sure it's right for you. I'm no expert, but some here have had to have their sleeve converted to the bypass...

    Re: ONE month “exercise” question

Don't go from nothing to 45 minutes of exercise, you have to work up your time/distance gradually or you will hurt or be in pain! Baby steps.

I was cleared for all exercise at 2 weeks. I was a...

My recent retirement (quit when school ended last spring) is what I blame for my slight weight gain. I need more structure, maybe a volunteer job. Not sure what that might be, as like I said, we...

    Re: Comfort Food!

I promise you won't be "mourning for food" Sandie. After surgery food is the last thing on your mind! In fact it's pretty gross. Total miracle.
