Anyone have recommendations for surgeons in the Beaumont area? I am self pay
Hello engrmom. I live in the Houston area and was recently sleeved. I drove to Eagle Pass, Texas where I was picked up by the Endobariatric van and taken to Piedras Negras, Mexico for surgery. Dr Alvarez is the surgeon there and has done 10,00 surgeries. He has a website and is ubiquitous on social media. See YouTube for the AskDrA Show. He has about 40 videos concerning the sleeve.
He did my daughters surgery in Dec. too. He is very good and quite personable. We were both self pay although I do have insurance. Good Luck.
Apx cost, self pay?
It is $8500 with Dr. Alvarez. That includes 2 nights hospital stay and all other costs. They will also pick you up in San Antonio if you fly in. He does only 3 surgeries per day, unlike most other Mexican surgeons. It is cheaper in Tiajana. But the absolute lowest cot was not my major concern.
